Players usually come back when they are healthy. If Young is cleared he will play.

Even more pressure numbers (not for the weak stomach)
ForJimmy replied to ncfan's topic in Carolina Panthers
Did Surtain play in that 70 point blow out? I hope he wasn't the one trying to cover Hill. Cross struggled last year as well and has missed 2 out of the 3 games this year with an injury. Icky was also ranked higher than Cross by most people. I can't hate them for either of those picks. Horn's injuries are just bad luck and Icky was the higher ranked prospect. -
We do need to get the ball in Laviska's hand several times a game. He is our most explosive player.

Former UVA quarterback Bryce Perkins works out for Panthers

I mentioned Dalton to the Jets yesterday. He is a big upgrade over Wilson and they could lean on that defense. We need picks to fill holes this offseason. -

Looks like he is predicted to get some Fantasy points for whatever that's worth. -
PFF grades after week 3 (not for the faint of heart)

The Jimmy thing is sarcasm. Hey I remember you though. You kept saying how important it was to be a multi-year starter in college and put up high numbers consistently like DTR (and Young but that doesn't count apparently). Then you immediately contradict yourself saying we should have drafted AR over Stroud/Young. You also insisted on us drafting Harrison Jr last year despite being constantly told he wasn't eligible. Back to the cave with your nonsense! -
Walking on a sprained ankle is a lot different than juking and running from some of the biggest fastest athletes on Earth. People can't grasp this. Corbet is currently walking, but guess what?? He isn't cleared to play a full contact sport yet.

Optimistic look at the current state of the team

What about getting rid of the NFL logo at midfield? Seriously though he swung for the fences with Rhule, but was pretty quick to realize it wasn't going to work. He then hired what he felt was the safest choice for HC (perhaps an overcorrection). Fitt is probably next on his list if we can't turn things around to get fired. -

@Bear Handsis a great poster. He is always nonbiased and logical in his responses. Brings good data and info to back it up as well. I always enjoy reading what he has to say. -

Yeah and if we are dropping a rookie QB (especially one on the smaller size) behind our OL we should probably play to that OL's strengths for a while until our QB gets comfortable. -

Yeah. They have proven they can be successful under certain schemes. You have to play to your players strengths. -
Average time to throw (Spoiler alert: Bryce is 2nd to last)

Stroud had a Goff floor IMO. I thought he was the safest prospect that could also become a Burrow (ceiling). I hope the S2 wasn't the main reason we passed on him. Young had some great film in college too so hopefully that's the reason. -

Yeah he should be all about the NIL. He has been doing it for years. -
I love the "HE WON'T SAY WHAT GRADE THE SPRAIN IS??" people. I mean Reich isn't a doctor and probably didn't even ask. All he wants to know is when can his player be cleared to play. Also reading between the lines, being out 1-2 weeks doesn't seem like a high grade sprain.
-
Ah yes Florio who described Young as "The Allen Iverson of football." To Simms credit he had Stroud as the top QB the whole time.

As an Auburn fan I can more than relate to this... Our offense looks terrible again even with Freeze. -

Not in the last two years though. That defense from 2 years ago was insane. -
1-2 weeks. Sounds very mild. We are going to do whatever the doctors say. He is just deferring to them which is the right call. Carr is week to week with an AC joint sprain. What grade level? They didn’t say, but week to week means mild or he would go to IR. You guys are digging too hard at this.

It’s a sprained ankle? What else can he say. He said he is getting better everyday and will be the starter again ONCE CLEARED. Hmmm I wonder what that means???
-
It's completely useless to try to convince some of these people. We saw a DL land directly on our QBs ankle. He had a limp walking on the field with McCown at practice. Reich said he is going to do whatever the doctors say. Corbert said this team will do whatever the doctors say when it comes to playing through injuries and even referenced Young in that comment. It's one to two weeks and they have mentioned playing him through injuries won't help his development. "They are saying 1-2 weeks. When he gets CLEARED he will be out starter again." They aren't speaking in some code here...

Cam, Lamar, and now Burrow broke the Heisman curse. Stroud might just break the OSU curse.

Yeah when he had NFL weapons like UGA does he split the series against that historic defense.
