  1. Yeah I know he was a fan favorite, but McCall really wasn't that great.
  2. Do they not realize where he went to school?!?!??!
  3. Whatever when we are down to our 3rd string LT and he allows a sack we will all be upset. Erving would never do that.
  4. I was so excited when Fields fell to us in that draft. Then we took Horn (who is solid) and rolled with Darnold. That was one of the most frustrating drafts…
  5. I think the people talking about needing a couple years are considering our new staff having to gut a lot of Rhule’s roster to get players for their schemes. I’d imagine any new staff would have similar expectations for these people. Even if Wilks was our HC he would be doing a roster overhaul IMO. I’m not saying they are right or you are wrong but just trying to show you where it’s coming from. I low key want Thomas Brown to learn with Reich for a couple years and take over as HC when Reich steps down. I really like what I’ve heard from him and thing he is a great mind to pair with Young.
  6. https://amp.charlotteobserver.com/sports/nfl/carolina-panthers/article266812766.html They literally backed Rhule while he was getting booed in October. I get it you like Wilks as a HC and that’s perfectly ok. I was simply explaining why some of us preferred an offensive minded HC. I
  7. He has never had a good one though. I’m ok with ignoring that season as Cardinals HC, but that just makes him unproven. You need a good offensive mind to keep up in today’s NFL. I get the players backed him, but that usually happens with an interim HC because if they don’t and he gets the job it makes it very awkward. Players were backing Rhule until he got fired.
  8. Damn Bill B had a loosing season last year. Picking the one season he wasn’t allowed to finish or pick who starts at QB seems a little extreme. They were 3-5-1 with Reich and 1-7 without him last year. I don’t think Reich is some elite HC, but he is a much better coach to develop Young which is priority 1 for this franchise. He also put together a great looking staff which I’m more excited about than the Reich hire itself. We tried a defensive conservative HC with Fox, then tried it again with Ron, I didn’t want to try it a third time and expect any different results.
  9. He is definitely full of class. A high character good leader of the locker room. I just really think you need an offensive HC to keep any stability with a franchise in today's NFL.
  10. https://www.nfldraftbuzz.com/Player/Caleb-Williams-QB-USC You might be on to something! where he's listed at 6-1 but as demonstrated by Bryce Young's somewhat elastic height measurement William's actual height may be closer to six foot flat.
  11. True, but you could tell he was undersized by watching him play. Caleb doesn't appear to be, but who knows?
  12. Yeah Caleb is 6'1" and I believe Stroud is 6'3" or 6'2" and some change. 6'1" is tall enough for today's NFL, especially when a player has field vision like he does.
  13. McAdoo was our “rockstar” OC remember???
  14. Valid point and kind of expected for someone as raw as he was coming out. Hopefully that number will drop. 4 false starts, but the 7 holding was one of the worst in the league.
  15. Settle down it was in jest for the most part. Mocking the size bros also.
  16. Yeah it’s showing how Icky and Cross are a good bit ahead of Neal in terms of becoming a great young LT. I will say the Seahawks like to air it out, so Cross had the more difficult job last season.
  17. This was data from their rookie season in the NFL I believe. It’s mainly showing how bad Neal was this past year.
  18. https://www.bigblueview.com/platform/amp/2023/6/22/23766394/how-much-worse-giants-evan-neal-than-other-top-10-tackles-ickey-ekwonu-charles-cross This is a good article that breaks down the top 3 OTs in his draft and how they did their rookie year. Icky was right there with Cross with pass protection, had far less blown run blocks and less penalties. I think we made the right choice, but this next year or two will tell more of the story.
  19. Reich and Campen seem very high on Icky. He is still pretty raw as a pass protector, but he went like 9 weeks without giving up a sack last year and some of that was before Wilks took over.
  20. Yes power conference D1 schools produce the most players. The fact that there are plenty of examples of small school players succeeding despite a much smaller sample size shows that you shouldn’t write them off. You really need to pick a better hill to die on. So you would rather have Erving and Jordan still on this roster as depth? That was our other option at this current time.
