The QB School : Breaking down AR and Levis
ForJimmy replied to Your GFs favorite huddler's topic in Carolina Panthers
Who wants Cam when you can have Sam?? -
I have nothing against Levis. I’ve said the whole time if he is Reich’s guy, I’m more than ok with it. I think he played injured last year with a terrible OC, terrible OL, and few weapons.
-
Baker won the Heisman? Is he not a scrub?
-
Agreed. It also seems like we wanted Reich to find and develop our next QB. So as long as they listen to his input I think we are in better hands than we have been in a long time.
-
If Levis is really who the staff wants then I’m good with it. I do find it very hard to believe that have any idea which QB they want this early though. I mean we don’t even have an OC yet and our HC was hired like a week ago?
-
He loves Sam in the same illogical way @rippadonnloves Corral. It’s a sickness…
-
Depends on how the draft falls and how far up we trade. I could see us moving up to 4-5 and drafting either Levis or Stroud (whichever is available)
-
My fault. I had you confused with @CPcavedweller. You two just remind me of each other with your nonsense babbling about nothing. Carry on....
-
You stated there is not one worth trading up for like a Lawrence. Teams are never going to be able to trade up for picks like that because they aren't for sale. Mahomes and Allen were question marks that teams traded up for. Sometimes it pays off, sometimes it doesn't.
-
Would you take Eric sleeping with Bieniemy as OC?
ForJimmy replied to TheBigKat's topic in Carolina Panthers
He stated he has never not called them and it would be difficult to give it up. -
Teams won’t trade out of the top pick when it’s a talent like Lawrence with little question marks. You can only get those guys by finishing last.
-
I’m actually on board with whoever Reich/Fitt think is the guy. It feels weird to be somewhat confident in our staff…
-
Completion % rarely tells the full story. It really depends on the offense and average air yards per pass attempt and drops etc… I see a lot of AR’s passes going deep. A WCO QB for example should have a higher completion % than one that goes deep more often. That doesn’t make the WCO guy better or more accurate.
-
You just said you would take Richardson on another thread…
-
It’s hard to tell. He was solid the prior year, but was injured early this year and had little help from his OL and OC. Whenever I saw him play bad he was getting hit instantly because his RT was terrible and he couldn’t run as well with his injured foot/toe.

Not even a month old with a negative rep. Why do they make these dumb troll accounts?
-
Shrine Bowl is looking pretty boring at 3-0 right now…
-
I think Levis will dominate the combine for what it’s worth.

I’m talking about this original arguments months ago. Pocket passer was your original argument. You have moved and shuffled it to where 1 epic bust, Vick, and now Fields who is still pretty raw an developing fit into running QBs. You don’t remember claiming Russ didn’t run that much during his Super Bowl run? Regardless everyone agrees a QB has to be able to throw a ball. I’m just glad you have conquer33 your fear of QBs that can run. Here is another take as obvious as QBs have to be able to pass. They have to also read defenses. It’s why Sam Darnold will never win a Super Bowl. Darnold, Couch, and possibly Zach Wilson can be added to that category.
-
The funny thing is your dumb argument started with “pocket passers” win Super Bowls. Then it got destroyed then you changed it quite a bit since then. Your argument now is QBs that can’t throw don’t win championships. Well no poo. Thanks for that groundbreaking thought. QBs that can’t throw typically don’t last in the league. No one is wanting to draft AR thinking he will only run. His arm talent is what makes him such a high ceiling prospect. Fun fact, Hurts scored his 15th rushing (that means running btw) TD of the year passing Cam’s previous record of 14. If your QB can run, it’s quite an advantage and many teams are wanting QBs than can now.
-
Tell it to the analysts?
-
Cam was breaking down from hits in the pocket. They have an actual OL for Hurts (which might be missing a few starters). Cam’s best LT was Oher for one year which happens to be the same year he went 15-1 and got us all the way to the big game. Luck retired early because his body was wearing down from lack of OL as well…
-
I believe that post was about the best QB in the NFC.
-
You would draft a QB in the 1st? Aren’t you the guy always rambling about how later round QBs are more successful??
