  1. Are you talking about press conferences or interviews??
  2. If the OC succeeds then he is gone. A lot of defensive HCs like the ground and pound running game and relying on their defense because it's what they know. We had the same OC for Rhule and Wilks yet our offense when all in on running the ball when Wilks took over. That style of play is becoming outdated as rules are catering to the passing game. I will give you this, McDermott seems to be the exception to the rule as he lets his OC have complete control of his offense and struck gold with Allen and the crew that developed him over the years. So it can happen, I just don't think it's as common. As stated no one else is bringing him in for an interview and we aren't simply smarter than all the other GMs and teams.
  3. I think he is an average HC who can beat bad teams with a simple game plan. He won't out scheme or out coach anyone, but he will have his team playing sound somewhat discipline football. If we are wanting some to right the ship and keep us respectable/average like Rivera did, then he is your guy. If we want to swing for a guy that will make us constant contenders and develop a young QB then look elsewhere. IF he can land a great OC we could look decent, but that OC will get plucked away in an offseason or two. Wilks seems like a great person (just like Rivera), but I don't think he is a great HC.
  4. Herbert and Hurts come to mind. Some people are soft spoken with the press, but different on the field/locker room. Josh Allen was also a little reserved at first also. The interviews should tell the whole story…
  5. Yeah we stumble into the playoffs and get demolished by a good team like the Bucs did. We would just have a worse draft pick basically…
  6. He thinks high enough of her to give her a position over Tepper Sports. If she wants to sit and learn the business vs collecting a check then good for her. I will let him run his business and you stick to worshipping Darnold and talking about ball punching OL.
  7. David Tepper, the owner and her husband, has given her a position in his company he owns. If it was his son who had a position I'm sure you would be fine with it. So again who are you to tell the Tepper's how to run their business??
  8. I’m pretty neutral on him. His team is pretty stacked and they managed to disappear in some games playing down to the competition’s level. That could be him or the HC at blame.
  9. You have no business telling her how to run her business.
  10. He also changed it up to a ball control game managing type offense when Dak was hurt and kept the team winning.
  11. If you are going down that road the question is did she actually violate any anti discrimination laws/rules during her interviews without the training. If she did then that’s a completely different scenario. If she didn’t get updated training that started in October 2022 and everyone else did, that just seems more like an oversight to me. You are also talking about one person who (maybe) didn’t take this training while everyone else from Tepper himself to Fitt did. Tepper (in all his faults) seems like a pretty progressive owner IMO. I already mentioned the Eric Reid signing and there is also this. https://www.wsoctv.com/news/local/now-is-not-time-stay-silent-panthers-players-join-uptown-demonstrations/RBL2GCCTVBAEBORIYK6C6X7DLM/?outputType=amp
  12. Hopefully he won’t . It doesn’t appear he is super eager to pull the trigger. https://pantherswire.usatoday.com/2023/01/19/nfl-insider-panthers-owner-david-tepper-likely-skeptical-trading-sean-payton/
  13. That’s fair, but at least he moved on from them.
  14. It was a mistake and he moved on from it with a lot of money left on the contract. Bad hires happen sometimes. You like the Fitt hire right?
  15. Fired Hurney, fired Rhule, black helmets, logo at midfield. I like how he supported signing Eric Reid when the league tried blackballing him. https://www.sbnation.com/platform/amp/nfl/2018/9/27/17910428/panthers-owner-david-tepper-eric-reid-signing-jerry-richardson-trump

  17. I get it but I’m sure there are thousands of rules for them to follow. It falls more on the administration staff to make sure they are all followed.
  18. So one of the owners wasn’t trained properly on how to interview someone to coach her team? Seems like a dumb fine to me…
  19. AFC team with a QB in place so the pick doesn’t hurt as bad. Owner with plenty of money. They check some boxes definitely…
  20. Are they actually going to sign/draft a legit WR first?
  21. I agree. Get one of those and let them pick their QB (draft) and try to acquire said QB without throwing away too many picks.
