  1. It was in OT on the 15 yard line and they had already had their possession. There is an insanely high percent chance that a NFL kicker makes that kick. It's the right call and it would have ended the game. We just fell short against the odds. I've seen PLENTY of great QBs in that same situation where they are setting up the FG (Burrow comes to mind this year). I get being upset we loss but setting up the OT game winning FG on the 15 yard line is NOT a bad strategy. https://www.espn.com/nfl/player/_/id/4034949/eddy-pineiro He is a 88% FG kicker. That is actually the first FG he missed from that range in his career.
  2. That's kind of how I feel. He is a wildcard IMO
  3. PJ, Corral, and rookie? We definitely need a vet QB to help with our rookie. Can PJ be that guy?
  4. Yeah just draft rookie and sign cheap vets (which is what Foreman was). Remember Hubbard looked good behind this OL also. We need to extend Bozeman before anything else.
  5. Yeah and the Bengals kicker was terrible against the Steelers. It happens sometimes. He had missed ONE 48 yard extra point at the time we were playing for the FG on the 15 yard line. I'm sorry but it's the right call. If PJ threw a pick you would be crying we didn't run it with Foreman because he was playing great all game.
  6. Not to mention he CONSTANTLY missed DJ who was wide open most of the game. The Falcons had a banged up secondary and it showed.
  7. You are missing the point. My point is just because a kicker was signed during the season doesn't mean he will be terrible which was YOUR logic. "No other teams wanted him because he sucks." Gonzalez was my proof that isn't always the case.
  8. I'm not defending the kicker. I am defending the coaching strategy and playing it safe for the FG in OT on the 15 yard line with his 4th string QB starting. People are pissed at that strategy. He was making 48 yard FGs in our Saints win without issues and has been fine all year kicking. I get his missed 2 total, but that PAT was a long kick.
  9. I watched the Bengals kicker missed extra points and OT FGs against the Steelers earlier this year and he is legit. Sometimes it’s just shitty luck.
  10. He has been fine all season. There was no reason to be concerned with him kicking from the 15 yard line. The Huddle was singing his praises early in the season “Rhule can find a kicker if nothing else.” Also I’m pretty sure Gonzalez was signed midseason off another team’s practice squad and he has been fine. No team wanted him either.
  11. It was fun to watch a high scoring competitive game. We are in no position to make a playoff run, so the loss doesn’t hurt that bad. Seeing TMJ start to shine is great news. I hope they get Tremble involved more soon.
  12. He is talking about from a height comparison. Young is far more accurate of a passer than PJ.
  13. He can be successful! I’m just concerned about him staying healthy. He has the best QB IQ I’ve seen since Burrow, his frame/size is just concerning.
  14. I mean if we win our division we aren’t making a playoff run with PJ Walker. I always love to see us win, but I get it.
  15. Our kicker will be healthy next year. Zane Gonzalez.
  16. Kicker missed a 50 yard FG. That’s completely different. DJ made a diving TD catch in double coverage. It was the right call.
  17. He is literally the most recent one since there wasn’t one last year. Lawrence is still a question mark.
  18. It was from the 15 yard line. Any D1 college kicker makes that 80 plus percent of the time. The QB also threw a pick 6 and was about 50% completion on the game. That’s way more risky and I think you know that…
  19. How is our kicker the worst in the league? You are just being emotional right now…
  20. We were in the 15 yard line with a 4th string QB. Playing for the FG is the right call. Our kicker has been good all season, but today he is off apparently…
  21. He has trouble playing through Honda because they aren’t suppose to be allowed…
