  1. If Sam wasn't so bad I might agree. It's making the offense unwatchable which is making it hard for these younger offensive players to develop. Baker would provide some stability there and who knows if he turns out to be the guy or a placeholder for Corral or our next draft pick? I think the point is minimal risk for a definite better option with the slightest potential to be our franchise guy or hold down the position until our franchise QB is ready. I could take it or leave it depending on how Corral looks in camp. If we play our cards right the comp for Baker leaving in FA could be higher than the pick we give up for him...
  2. Umm you must have not heard the breaking news. It's a GREAT day!!!
  3. Hell yeah! Best day EVER as a Panther's fan! Who else is pumped?!?!?
  4. Never stop trying @4Corners!! I have faith in you.
  5. But I was promised a GREAT day?!?!?!
  6. Anyone seen that eggshell penis lately? Asking for a friend... @jackson113@USDepartmentOfSavagery PS We need to verify this with Garry Cobb!
  7. OK now you have gone too far!!
  8. It may look like next year's 5th, a future 4th, and Sam Darnold for Baker with each team paying the new player's salary. It helps us unload Sam and gives Cleveland a backup plus some future picks. Baker is our immediate starter and there is less pressure on getting Corral on the field early in the season. Just throwing a scenario out there...
  9. "Mild interest" would be the key phrase. If we can upgrade our QB from bottom of the league to mid-tier for some later round picks then I'm not 100% against it. So far we have shown good restraint and aren't budging unless we get a deal that makes financial and long term sense. There is always a chance that a younger QB like Baker could turn out even better over here especially if he stays healthy. Plus he is on his last year so if he doesn't wow us we can let him walk.
  10. Right? I mean right now we have Sam Darnold and a 3rd round rookie. I would hope we would have mild interest in most QBs that are possibly available.
  11. It's definitely a strong argument to be made, however the question is where are we drafting this next QBs. If we start drafting QBs in the first round before we can fully develop any then it can become an issue. I have no problem drafting one in the 3rd-4th plus range, but I would hate to use our first each year especially when the issue might be our staffing putting them in positions to succeed.
  12. Oh yeah a Mac Jones year would be pretty great from a 3rd round QB. I'm thinking more of a Trevor Lawrence type rookie season. INTs are going to happen for rookie, but he needs to show progress, coachability, and adaptability. If he can become the leader of our offense and show he belongs in the NFL as a rookie then I think we don't have to necessarily spend out first round pick on a QB next year. As I think you stated it's extremely hard for a coaching staff to develop 1 young QB, 2 would be very difficult.
  13. I'm not sure he even needs to play incredibly well. Just needs to learn the playbook and show we can run the offense while going through reads etc. Maybe flash some playmaking skills. Even the top drafted QBs don't look incredible their rookie years. If Corral does this throughout the season and we have a top pick we could possibly trade it for a king's ransom to a QB needy team. Then you have an extremely cheap QB for the next 3 years to build around with front heavy contracts until his next contract is due plus extra draft picks.
  14. Fans getting upset with a coach/owner of a currently losing franchise is very much normal and expected. Most of us like to see our team win and be successful which is why we are fans. So far Rhule has shown he has been in over his head and several other more qualified coaches have been given less time to turn around their teams and after having better results still been fired. Rhule is very fortunate to have been given a 3rd year after his previous 2 seasons, however at this point it appears he is at least TRYING to adapt. I honestly can't imagine him given another year if we finish 5-12 or worse again.
  15. The talk is that next year’s qb draft class is loaded with talent. If we finish on the top 10, it would be nice to have the best read we can get on Corral to see if he flashes enough potential or not. I think people are worried he will sit all year and we won’t have any idea if he is the guy or not and pass on a possible blue chip QB because we want to see what we have in Corral. If he plays some games we should get a good enough read to see if we want to move forward with Corral as our guy or draft another one.
  16. Maybe we plan on trading Sam for some scraps while eating most of his salary as well? Baker would be the best QB on the team week 1 instantly and it gives Corral time to learn and get ready. I just think his personality may make things difficult…
  17. Yeah the way I see it, McAdoo was the best we could do all things considered. Pep Hamilton wouldn’t even interview with us. McAdoo brings some successful experience to our staff. Campen, Wilks, and McAdoo appear to be upgrades and hopefully Rhule will listen to their advise.
  18. Nah man property owners can do what they want because they own the property. I can build a skyscraper sized strip club right beside a preschool if I owned the property and the city can’t do poo right? Such a dumb comment…
