If they do then one of the 3 LTs or 2 Pass Rushers should fall to us.

Or Darnold??

If we draft a QB, I want Carson Strong

I’m down for either one of the 3 LTs falling to us or trading down and drafting a QB. -

Where were these fast, athletic QBs in the Super Bowl? Just learning you can’t succeed in the NFL without one… -
That’s kind of how I feel. He is a first rounder, solid QB. If someone drafts him at 12 no one would care, but 6 spots for your starting QB and people freak out. Assuming we can land a talent in FA on the OL, he isn’t the worst pick IMO. Pitt was playing at a high level with him as their leader, if that can translate to the next level if could pay dividends.

DJ’s skillset in a Shanahan offense would be deadly.
-
The scariest thing would be knowing Rhule would get fleeced on the trade and be responsible for developing the players we develop with the picks….

He is our best WR by a good margin. I kind of want him to stay, but if he gets us the right return I get it. Robby needs to be traded, but his contract is too high.

Do you think Pickett, Howell, Willis etc are better than Joe Burrow?

One could argue the Bengals/Cards/Bills didn’t have that until they found their QB. I do get what you are saying though. -
Mariotta did, but he had been healthy these past two years as a backup (not really playing). Plus you won’t find a perfect candidate as a FA.

If we draft and sign OL, I kind of like Mariotta or Mitch running the show until we draft one to learn under them next year.

Riot: Panthers to take a major swing at QB?

Rivers is about to come out of retirement and get a huge check to play for us… -
Name something specific that would get you pumped for this season

Huh? Why? I don’t want to give up what it would take for him given his age, but if we did they would definitely have my attention. -

Hey he could probably pick what coach he wanted if he came here. However as a fan I don’t really want him on our team. Before these allegations I was all in, 3 firsts, CMC, Burns whatever it took. Not so much anymore… -
Neal and BC on the left with Moton and FA/Brown/late pick on the right with Elf in the center would be a huge jump with our new OL coach. Brown and Neal in general would add so much weight/power on the line. It would also help CMC have cleaner holes and take less hits.

We really don’t need a LB or Safety with our top 10 pick. I get he is going to be great, but by the time we actually fix our offense Burns, Chinn, Horn etc are going to want to get paid. If one of the big 3 LTs makes it to us, it should be easy…

What about 77.4% 42 TDs to 4 INTs? Mac Jones against really good competition. Seriously though, if Burrow is the bar we might never draft a QB… -

There is no way to know that. Joe and Kyler were predicted to go one, the others had red flags that made some drop. It just takes one team to like the prospect and take the risk. Bills took a risk with Allen that paid off, Bears with Mitch that did not. Lamar went late in the first to a pretty established team. -

Yep the GOAT was graded not so well.. Mahomes, Allen, Herbert, and Jackson all had red flags. -
OP isn’t saying we pay Sam to a huge deal. If Sam plays serviceable and our team is improving there us a chance he could get signed to an average contract. It would also put us out of range for Young/Stroud/and other top prospect. We could basically become what the Colts are. Is that good or bad? I’m not sure…

Yeah I read that rumor too, but he seemed eager to learn when we signed him. I haven’t written him off yet. He came in injured mid season. I think Horn will keep a fire lite under him and will see if he can put it all together this year or not.
