7th rounders do good to make the team and are almost purely special teamers. I think we drafted Mingo at least a round too early but that was the old staff and he is here so let’s see if he can develop. Ladd is a slot WR. DJ is probably best as a slot, AT is a slot at this point, honestly Mingo was projected to be a big slot. We can’t field a team of slots. We needed an X WR who can stretch the field. That is what XL is. XL just needs to stay healthy and he will be fine. He is already flashing in this shitty offense. I liked AD Mitchell better as a prospect personally but I’m good with XL where we drafted him.

XL can become the best friend of a strong armed gunslinger QB. Let him go deep and jump ball against the CB. DC wants him to be his Evans/DK. Bryce would have been better with a Ladd quick short route runner. I think DC was building an offense for a traditional QB in case the Young experiment fails which it looks like it is…

Mingo was always a high upside raw WR. He is by far our best run blocking WR. He is just going to need some time. Time is something we have since we have a while before we are competitive again…

I don’t plan my Sunday afternoon on them like I would when they were competitive. It’s kind of nice because we have a new baby so I’d probably be in the same boat if they were good. I just want some young guys to develop so we can build on something next year. We should get a premium draft pick to build on as well plus DB healthy again.

He has a lot of talent but is a soph (maybe redshirt). I bet he stays another year.

Stroud for DJ a couple of 1sts and 2nds is definitely a trade a lot of people would take. You can check franchise QB off the list for the next decade and a half. Right now we just need to build a team an insert a bridge QB until we have something semi decent of a roster.

Kyle McCord is an interesting one. Played behind Stroud at OSU. Has a strong arm and has Syracuse at 4-1. He might be a good mid round guy to develop,

We have a bad roster and over half of them are hurt. Wins are going to be tough until players start getting healthy and even then they will be challenging…

BPA or trade down. Over drafting a QB would be a bad move. We need players and talent in a bad way.

Yeah similar to Texas Tech. They use the air raid offense. Mahomes did come from that though. I was just looking for physically gifted QBs who has a lot of experience throwing the ball. @MHS831mentioned him a while ago and I was looking at his last year’s stuff which looked good.
