Fields, Lance would be ideal. Sewell, Slater fill a huge need. Chase or Surtain are the best at their positions with CB being a bigger need, but Chase possibly being the better prospect. I have three tiers of which I can live with. 1. Fields/Lance 2. Sewell/Skater 3. Chase/Surtain With Lawrence, Wilson going 1 & 2 one if these players should be available. Worst case could be Chase, LT in the 2nd, and trade 3 for Darnold??

Starting high for the haggle. He is ok, but gets hurts too often. If he can’t cut it with Kyle Shanahan I’m not really interested. I mean they traded away 3 first round picks to draft his replacement...

I don't believe we'll take a QB on day 2 no matter what

Mills at the 3rd or later, Newman 4th/5th or none. Maybe trade a 3rd for Darnold. I would be ok with any of these options knowing we might be back in the hunt next year. -
I thought about that but Goff was also at Cali I know he is just meh... You could do Tennessee with Manning, NC State with Rivers, Miami Oh with Big Ben...
-
So did LSU before Burrow, Texas Tech before Mahomes, Clemson before Watson, Wisconsin before Russ, Louisville before Jackson, Auburn before Cam......
-
The only thing he and Haskins have in common is the school they played at.
-
Sewell or Slater right? LT is one of our biggest needs and both of those players should be great.
-
Both have a ton of potential. If our guy turns out to be a dud, and the other is great part of that would fall on our staff/coaches failing to develop the player. If we are lucky and get Fields/Lance we better grab a LT in the second round to help out our young QB.

Much more? They are talking about Pitts going at 4? How was Ebron much higher than that?
-
Pitts ran a 4.4 with a longer wingspan. Obviously he isn’t proven like the HoF WR Johnson in the NFL. When teams see his production with his measurements they see the potential to be a Calvin Johnson. Every pick can bust or be a let down, but he is one of the safer picks in the draft. Trask is ceiling is a notch below Cousins, his floor is out of the league in a few years.
-
What makes him not like Calvin Johnson? Speed? Height? Weight? Catch radius? College production? Or is just because you see a TE beside his name instead of WR?
-
Winslow, Davis, Olsen, Eifert (before injuries) were all great. Fant looks solid (needs a better QB). Ok now play your same game with Florida QBs in the NFL.
-
He was like a 2nd round pick who was not physical enough to play TE or smooth/fast enough to be an elite WR. That was mentioned as a negative in his draft profile... This guy runs a 4.4 with a wingspan the longest of any player in the past 3 decades who was the main piece in Florida’s offense. How did Trask look when Pitts get injured? Not very good. Throw it under to Tooney to launch it deep I n Pitts’ direction and let him make the catch (which he almost always did). That was the Florida offense.

Bouye!
-
He compares to Calvin Johnson in almost every measurement. He is a WR and will be used like one.

I thought I caught Rhule making flirty eyes at Fields during his pro day...

Are you grilling anything good? We accept donations.

Under 40 psi? Toughen up buttercup!

Haha fair enough. Not your normal insight, but yeah. Is there a QB in this class you are high on outside of Lawrence/Wilson?
-
Which ones do you prefer?
-
Hopefully he would be depth/rotation with Roy and Fox.
-
Sign Short and Bouye and our defense should look pretty solid (on paper).

I think of the song every time I scroll past this post.

Pride started too soon, but I think he was ok towards the end of the season. He should be better this year. As a third option behind Jackson and Melvin, I’d say he is a good as what many teams have in the league. Regardless I hope we pick up Bouye and draft another CB.

Pitts was also in Florida.
