  1. He kept it classy the whole time too. I love the whole I'm not a test taker, I'm a QB comment. He just kept it real.
  2. I wouldn't be so quick to call Baker great. He is an average QB who can be streaky. He was very hot and cold in Cleveland and has played two terrible defenses so far this year. Don't get me wrong he is much better than he looked here and I thought he would be solid for us, but Rhule was too terrible of a HC to get a good look. If Bryce is the guy he will flash enough in Carolina for us to continue his development. Teams are a lot more patient with number 1 overall drafted QBs than they would be with journeymen vets and rightfully so.
  3. They better get rid of Ron because Bieniemy will get a HC job somewhere if this continues.
  4. He seems to have a good attitude and stays humble too. Similar to Young.
  5. 4th in the NFL and 2nd in AFC (granted a couple teams haven’t played game 2 yet).
  6. Stroud is trying to break the OSU QB curse.
  7. What kind of bridge?? Asking for a friend...
  8. I honestly have no clue. Flip a coin and insert some random scores. Evero needs to scheme around Horn being out with some blitzes and quick pass rush to hide our secondary.
  9. Probably getting him confused with Reddick and Temple.
  10. I really wanted Downs and think he will be a solid slot WR. We had several people on here wanting Mims (you might have been one of them). However, Mingo has a high ceiling and Smith was wanting us to draft him at 39. I think when Young gets more comfortable we are going to be happy with Mingo.
  11. Agreed. I think you have a bit of both extremes. One group wants to blame him for everything (ie missing a 5th round pick WR who looks great) and the other wants to give him credit for all of the good moves while blaming Rhule for all of the bad. I like our offseason pickups, and honestly the trade for the top pick wasn’t as high as the market was setting it to be. The Johnson 3rd round pick was a total panic move and the Burns situation is a mess. He still has a lot to price, but isn’t the worst or best GM so far.
  12. Maybe I’m remembering it wrong then. I thought he was still a good college QB, they just ran him more.
  13. He got benched in the championship game. He was still good, Tua was just the better college QB. Hurts wasn’t going to get drafted as high as he did until Riley had him looking like a better passer at Oklahoma.
  14. The post Rodgers Packers beat a bad Chicago team and just lost to the same team we lost to. I’m not sold one way or the other on them yet.
  15. Bama had a nice run with Hurts, Tua, Mac, then Young but the talent gap isn’t what it was for them with NIL money involved. I know what you are saying though incorporating young new QBs into an offense is tough. It’s what Carolina is currently struggling with in the NFL.
  16. Who did you want? AR looked overwhelmed and outmatched again most teams he played, Stroud looked the same against teams like Northwestern. Check out how Alabama has looked without Young to give you an idea how much of an impact he had in that team.
  17. He really is and a couple analyst had Tua as a Bryce Young comp.
  18. Oh damn. Yeah he needs to come forth with whatever allegations he has.
  19. Honestly if Bryce turns out great we won’t care what pick we gave the Bears in 2024.
  20. That’s a fair point. Meyer probably did more damage to Lawrence’s development that offset any experience he gained.
  21. Length of time as an owner isn’t really ever considered when people are talking about teams during a rebuild. It’s turning over a new roster while shedding off the old vet contracts.
  22. And Lawrence wasn’t even a rookie for the Jags through that first half struggle.
  23. I think/hope he is joking. That’s like saying the Cardinals won’t be rebuilding next year when they draft a new QB with the top pick because they’ve had the same owner for a while now.
