  1. So he is suggesting their board is 1 Young, 2 AR. Interesting although it sounds like it would take too much for Houston to do that. I’m curious to see what happens, if anything after Stroud’s team visit tomorrow.
  2. Yeah pressured and blitzed are two different things. He knew where to go for a quick completion when blitzed or his OL stopped the blitz which would leave the defense at a disadvantage. A lot of these pocket passers can make you pay when you blitz. When pressure actually gets to him is where you see Stroud’s numbers drop.
  3. I love him taking credit for Parsons who was considered the top defender in his draft.
  4. Zappe was the GOAT for college stats. No one better. Mac and Pickett also did great.
  5. Just tell him to trade for Bailey Zappe if he is looking for stats.
  6. It’s getting pretty bad… Desperation has set in.
  7. He is trying to read off stats and cherry pick the ones that makes Corral better. Oh and he wants AR who has the worst stats. He is contradicting himself as usual.
  8. https://www.ncaa.com/news/football/article/2022-10-09/bailey-zappe-college-football-career-stats-highlights-records?amp Also damn Young threw a lot of TDs!
  9. Look at the stats and draft Bailey Zappe or Mac Jones. You look at stats and want AR? Let me guess you only use stats when it fits your narrative?
  10. It’s a little ironic hearing a Corral fanatic question a player’s durability. You also liked Strong right? He couldn’t even make a roster due to his injury…
  11. And there have been many more busts so what exactly is your point? The GM said he wanted a young proven player. It was between Burns, Brown, and Moore.
  12. I would love for him to become our long term backup.
  13. Yeah Young is better. He is probably going number 1 in the draft. He is a better NFL prospect coming out of college without a doubt. Whether he will be the better pro is still a guess I suppose, but the experts tend to think so.
  14. That’s not all we got from that CMC trade. It’s why we still have a 3rd. Also he was taking up a lot of future cap space and couldn’t stay healthy. We needed to move on from him and give him a chance to compete like we did. LAC isn’t wanting to pay Ekler, the Giants are scared to give Barkley a long contract. Paying RBs big money over a lot of years isn’t the best idea.
  15. The chances if it happening are slim. There is also a chance a team could trade with us and jump them for Young. That’s probably where the we are ok with taking AR in a trade down rumors are coming from. A future first might be worth it for them to ensure they get their franchise QB. Again it’s not likely, but interesting still.
  16. They wanted a young establish player before FA. I think DJ Moore was the most important part of the trade to them. The chances of a rookie WR being as good as him are slim plus there wasn’t many good ones available in FA as we all witnessed. I’m not saying it was the right move, but I think it’s why they did it early.
  17. We wouldn’t do it if we thought Young had a much better chance at being a franchise QB than Stroud/AR. We would only do it if they were closely valued by our staff.
  18. It could be similar to the Manning Rivers trade expect they were at 4 instead of 2 I think. I was pick 4, 3rd round pick, next year’s 1st, and 5th. QBs are worth even more now I feel like… I would be happy with pick 2, their 3rd, and next year’s first. Even pick 2 and next year’s first could be interesting. We would have basically moved up to 2 for Moore and 2 second round picks.
  19. Yeah and Auburn so was bad their HC got fired. I believe that final drive has a clear intentional grounding by Young that got ignored as well… Not his best game, but at the end of the day he did what was needed to win the game. Iron Bowls can be tough at any time.
  20. https://www.sportingnews.com/us/amp/ncaa-football/news/matt-corral-bryce-young-heisman-ole-miss-alabama/ygeganb4ysmv1fqv60ror3277 At one point in time they were the top 2 Heisman candidates. Both are from Cali as well.
  21. I was just posting on another thread how he could develop into a nice backup for Young. Similar quickness with a quick release and accurate. You wouldn’t have to change up the playbook too much.
  22. I think Corral could develop nicely into a backup for Young. Has similar quickness and is pretty accurate with a quick release as well. You could run a similar playbook… He just needs to make the roster first and then who knows.
