People are assuming Young needs to be in shotgun because of his height. He has to get the ball over OL much taller than him, it’s just physics nothing personal nor does it mean he can’t be successful. If he is a Panther and crushing it out of shotgun no one will give a poo what the formation it. Stroud showed he is mobile enough against that SEC defense he played most recently. Both are solid prospects and both can be great at the next level.

If we draft Young will all these alts please consolidate to the original account? These guys are making new ones every week with the same old nonsense.

Tillman is 6’3” and has some potential. He was UT’s WR1 over Hyatt before he was injured. Maybe we can get him in the 3rd/4th?

I mean take Carolina/Cam out of the equation and he has been 7-9, 7-10, and 8-8-1 with Washington. He is just an average conservative HC.

I will never complain about building up our trenches. OL/DL picks are always a welcome sight in the draft IMO. We need depth at both plus some eventual replacements as you stated.
-
Ew that would explain his regression… I would like to swap Boutte for Tillman then. Downs in 2nd or Tillman in 3rd.

Yeah and none of those teams have decent defenses. It was a down year for the SEC IMO.
-
Makes sense. I thought you were talking about level of production in the NCAA. Yeah the SEC will have more NFL players no doubt. Especially when you exclude OSU from the Big10.

Last year the Big10 had better defenses overall than the SEC. I think that Stroud actually played the tougher defenses (last year) especially since Young didn’t play UGA or Alabama (obviously) who seemed to be the only 2 decent SEC defenses last year. The Big10 had like 5 defenses in the top 10 and 7 in the top 25. I think the SEC just had a down year in terms of defenses. Now don’t get me wrong Stroud had MUCH better WRs last year to possibly offset that.

He definitely left some to be desired, but that defense was a historic one. He looked great the first game. I still think Stroud’s most recent one was the most impressive.
