I thinking we just roll with McAdoo as HC since he fixed Darnold and then we can resign Darnold to a top QB contract.

Lol at resigning Darnold. Yeah let's roll with him, what's the worst that can happen?? We can always sign Cam midseason and have them share snaps during the game! We should also looking at resigning Rhule while we are at it.

I’m just talking about passing attempts and passing yards per attempt. The one drop didn’t change the game plan. Run the ball and keep it out of Sam’s hands.

As long as they limit his passing snaps and play “keep the ball of out Sam’s hands,” we have a chance…

It depends on how Wilks finishes the season and who the first time HC is.

I think fans (like myself) have some PTSD from the Fox/Rivera run first, overly conservative playing style. Wilks looks to be cut from a similar cloth, we some of us are concerned. However, looking at the last game, Wilks went for it on 4th and goal (didn’t make it, but still was aggressive), made adjustments after halftime and had Chinn playing some LB, AND had his team prepared after a bye week. That makes me feel a lot better about signing him if we do. It will be hard to sign and keep a good OC, but the Buffalo route looks to work where they just move up the assistants/promote from within.

Yeah considering he crushed it this past year and is still viewed as a mid to last round pick. If he had those numbers in the SEC/ACC he would be way up the draft boards. Usually the smaller conference guys need elite traits to get drafted high like Allen, Lance, Wentz etc...

Is Pickett playing? I think he is in the protocol. Either way I just have a feeling their defense is going to give us trouble. If they stop our run and we have to rely on Darnold it could get ugly. It's just a feeling I have. Maybe because the last couple times the Steelers had their way with us.

I think it just depends on how the team looks. The next 4 games are against pretty bad teams with maybe the Lions being decent. If he crushes terrible teams like the Saints and loses to mid teams like the Lions and get crushed by good teams like the Bengals and whoever we play IF we make the playoffs then I don’t think he is a definite. It will be interesting to see how we play the Steelers who are having a pretty bad year. They still tend to hang around with good teams. I’m not sure this weekend is a win, but what do I know?

Yep plus it gets him out of that offensive system that doesn’t look to translate. Could be a very smart move for him.

He looks to be a relatively cheap cap hit with some great play making ability. We really need an OC that knows how to use him outside of McAdoo’s dumb screen pass…

He said when we was the HC at Arizone HE wanted to trade up for Josh Allen. I don't think it mattered who is OC is, especially since the good ones are pretty much temporary...

It will be interesting to see what happens draft day if Wilks is our HC. He claimed he wanted to trade up for Josh Allen but was denied that option. Is he going to want to trade up for Anthony Richardson? Same physically talented, but raw passer type of prospect....

Peppers is 4th all time in sacks. To not be satisfied with that is a little absurd to me…

PFF stated he ranked 4th in pressures in the league with 53? @Toomers posted it a few comments up. HIs run defense continues to be an issue, but Brown has helped with that a good bit IMO.
