  1. Oh yeah most college QBs aren’t. There is usually several weeks or longer of learning and still a lot of growing pains their rookie years.
  2. I mean if you are a really good QB a bad team is probably going to select you. Luck and Manning both had dads with NFL experience trying to “maximize” their potential and both had plenty of family money so they were ok with dictating where they were drafted. Stroud appears pretty humble and I don’t see him pulling a Luck. There is probably a 5 star guy behind him that was promised the job next year at OSU also. I would be very surprised if he stays.
  3. I’ve been wrong many times, but with his playing style and Florida’s recruiting struggles plus a weaker QB class makes me think he leaves this year. He may just love Florida and I’m sure he gets plenty of NIL money.
  4. No way Stroud returns as he is a top 5 lock. Richardson has had a couple injury scares already. If he is a 1st round lock then he probably goes. Next year he will be battling Maye, Williams, McCarthy, and whoever else might have a Pickett or Burrow season.
  5. If we are able to get Stroud or Young we are probably doing it. If we win some more games I think we should look at Penix/Richardson (could possibly trade down if both are on the board, but it’s risky).
  6. He can throw, has a strong arm, is mobile enough to avoid pressure and he is elevating his talent around him. That’s a lot of boxes to check.
  7. I know he has an injury history, but I feel he is getting over looked. Plenty of TDs and leads the league in passing yards. Washington could finish in the top 10…
  8. The person who posted the tweet is suggesting they return to a staff that hasn’t developed them. It just doesn’t make sense to me.
  9. Sometimes you get Mahomes. Sometimes you get Manziel.
  10. Mahomes has some terrible habits that he somehow makes work. I’ve never seen anything like it.
  11. If there is a QB we like we should draft him this year. It’s not like that completely prevents us from drafting Maye/Williams if they look legit again and we have a top two pick again. We can always trade away one if we are in a position to draft a generational talent.
  12. He looks legit, but not sure running around like that can translate with bigger faster NFL players. Mahomes does seem to make it work though.
  13. Lincoln Riley QB that is playing backyard style football. Be careful. Baker and Kyler looked phenomenal in college.
  14. The announcers just compared his style to Mahomes. Good call.
  15. My main question is if he is horribly coached and developed, why would he stay another year with that staff?
  16. He is a stud @45catfanhas been very high on him.
  17. Yeah some people have trouble verbalizing their reasons for their opinions and turn to this method.
  18. I thought you were leaving? Don’t feed us empty promises like that.
  19. He was their first choice, but just announced he is staying at Ole Miss and signed a new contract. https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/35113376/auburn-hugh-freeze-discussed-coaching-job-weeks-sources-say?platform=amp I’d prefer Kiffin, but Freeze had a similar winning % in the SEC West.
  20. Great post! He has shown he can make NFL throws frequently and play the QB position well. Does he need work? Absolutely as does 99% of rookie QBs. If there is a “perfect” prospect we would have to finish last to draft him as teams don’t typically trade out of those situations. We couldn’t even finish last with Rhule, so chances are we would miss on one of those prospects.
  21. This year a large amount of players transferred because they hated played for Harsin. The OC and DC also left. They have Cadillac Williams with no coaching experience filling in until they hire their new coach (probably Freeze).
