  1. We have our 4th string QB on the road across the country against a good defense. He has had one week to prepare as HC. He may be boring but Rhule was a disaster. Also Wilks didn’t hire McAdoo.
  2. When the offense can’t do poo, it crushes the defense’s spirit plus they get worn out.
  3. On the road (across the country) with a new HC, new DC, 4th string QB, Chinn and Horn not playing I'm not sure what people were expecting. If Wilks gets a couple wins this season it will be a good job. He is just trying to stable the ship right now until our new staff comes in this offseason.
  4. I think a lot of DC's play conservative offense as a HC to lean on their defense which is what they know. It doesn't really work in today's NFL.
  5. I'm not sure he is HC material anyway, but he is qualified and a good DC.
  6. Chinn, Luvu, Horn, and our 1st 2nd and 3rd string QB. No one should be expecting us to win.
  7. I think he is trying to get us back to the basics with discipline. Some players apparently didn't have it and have been sent to the locker room....
  8. I feel like Wilks isn't concerned about beating the Rams on the road with a 4th string QB (unlikely to happen anyway) as much as he is trying to get our team back to the basics and instill some discipline in this team.
  9. Wow all of those calls and it's still a tied game against our 4th string QB on the road across the country....
  10. CMC has like 10-15 pounds on him but he put that one over his career. You could use Cook in similar situations with less touches. I mean Buffalo picked him in the 2nd to be their future at the position.
  11. I would be against paying any RBs with our cap so bad next year. Cook would be a cheaper, younger option.
  12. Yeah but both Corral and Howell are unknown mid to late round draft picks. Our next coach won’t pass over a rookie in the 1st because of either one of them, much less both. It doesn’t make sense for him to be part of a trade, plus Washington needs him.
  13. The top 8 pick by itself might be worth it. The Sam Howell addition is pointless.
  14. Burns is the only one I’m hesitant on. He is one of the best young pass rushers in the league and they are hard to come by. I know he has a big pay day coming though…
  15. Then you have a 5th round QB and 3rd round QB that our new coach will have no invested interest in. They have to be looking at drafting one this year. Tepper has QB fever.
  16. That’s not my point. Singletary’s contract is only through this season. We obviously aren’t making a run this season and should be trading for future assets. Cook is a rookie 2nd rounder with explosive speed. He can be an asset for the future of our team.
  17. I think people are giving a little too much thought into QBs that WIN the Super Bowl in association to drafting a QB. A lot has to go into one winning it all. Usually a great coach and good roster plus a little luck. When looking at our first round pick in a vacuum we just need the best QB available. Our staff needs to hire the right coach and build a solid team around him after that. Rivers, McNair, Kelly, Marino, Moon all never won but that doesn’t mean Foles, Dilfer, Brad Johnson, and Flacco were better picks. We just need to draft the best QB available to us to make our team more competitive and then build around him and hope some things fall our way to win it all. Obviously we need to hire the right coach first. Watson (before legal issues), Jackson, Herbert, Burrow, Allen, and Tua all look like great picks but several of these guys aren’t going to win one because only one team can win every year.
  18. Anyone else checking out Penix’s stats right now? Over 350 total yards with 4 TDs 25/30 passing oh and it’s only halfway through the 3rd against Arizona.
  19. I don’t trust Young’s frame. Seems insanely smart at the position, but I’m not top 5 pick convinced he will be great in the NFL.
  20. Hooker was just finding Hyatt all game who was pretty open. Great game though!!
  21. I just posted this is another thread. That doesn’t typically translate well as NFL DL are much bigger and faster.
  22. And came from a college that doesn’t produce NFL QBs.
  23. It’s a spread no huddle offense too. Doesn’t always translate, but Mahomes ran it at Texas Tech fwiw.
