  1. It will make for a good jersey name.
  2. My main concern is if we somehow land a good OC for him they won't be here long. It seems way easier to add a veteran DC these days than hold on to a good OC. If we are looking at drafting a young QB, I would prefer some stability for him to develop.
  3. You would think Hackett would just step in and start calling plays at some point....
  4. I can't figure that out. Is Pete Carroll that good or is Hackett than bad or maybe a little of both?? I mean Geno is playing well for Carroll....
  5. It's the Josh Allen effect. The things Richardson can do can't be coached, but (hopefully) reading the defense, going through progressions and making the right decisions can be coached. Napier in Florida isn't doing him any favors in the development side of things...
  6. I quoted where just calling names and mocking and called it unnecessary. You said it was and continued to do so. Stop playing the victim because you got a warning. Believe me, @LinvilleGorgeis not afraid of criticism towards the team.
  7. You were just calling names at another poster and mocking him. I’m sure you realize the real reason here… Don’t play the victim now.
  8. It was a decent back and forth with good points and then people just can't control themselves....
  9. Acting like a fool and calling names at people you are debating never makes you look good. It looks like you have lost the damn debate. Now put on your big boy pants and act like an adult. How is that for tone policing you? There are plenty of points to be made (and you made some good ones).
  10. What makes you think I am angry? I'm just poking fun at some "logic" that was used. It was more sarcasm that anger (probably hard to translate through the computer).
  11. It was just stated we have had the same coach over 3 years and look worse that ever. Rhule would be the constant and Fitt would be building the roster to make it better right? It's a good point by @R0CKnR0LLA. So Fitt was doing the FAs when we signed Elf and Erving, then Morgan comes in and we sign Bozeman, and Corbett? If that is true then Morgan seems better off of that. So who is responsible for us having no draft capital? I will agree that drafts are still hard to tell. It took Brown 3 years to develop, but that just means Fitt still haven't proven much at all....
  12. Better options??? Fitt has built an improving roster here. Tepper just said it? How is Carolina not a top option?
  13. So his first round picks look solid (like Hurney), but outside of that he hasn't killed it with the draft. How else would he "improve the roster?" That sounds like he can sign FAs like Erving and Elf that were signed early to stupid contracts. Is trading for Sam considered improving the roster? Do you really think he have a good roster now?
  14. My point is keeping an old GM who was part of a terrible 3 year run to pick your new coach can have some negative consequences. What has Fitt done to make him so untouchable in your eyes?
  15. I'm not acting like I do. I am saying there is no way he has ZERO responsibility for our situation like you seem to think. It's not an uncommon practice to hire a new GM then find a new coach with said GM. I would imagine part of the roster is going to be rebuilt with a new coach. There are already CMC trade rumors with RA. I wouldn't be surprised to see a lot of vets traded away and a new foundation started with some of our young cheaper players.
  16. Irony is blaming Rhule for everything and saying Tepper had no control, but then saying Morgan has control with Fitt.
  17. We kept Hurny to help us find Rhule and that worked out great....
  18. So all the contracts go through Suleiman and all the trades/draft picks/FAs go through Rhule making Fitt absolutely useless. Do you see what kind of hurdles you are jumping through to try to say he has no responsibility for the mess we are in. You have no clue what Fitt signed off on or backed up. He sure as hell hyped up the Darnold trade when it happened and talked about how much he liked him in college and thinks he can make the next jump with us. https://sny.tv/articles/panthers-gm-scott-fritterer-talks-sam-darnold-trade-it-s-definitely-worth-the-gamble- He took the job with Rhule already having roster control. I mean that was part of the job when he signed on and now that is his excuse?? I'm not buying it. His job was to build a contender with Rhule and he failed miserably. He failed so bad we are currently picked 1st with a shitty cap situation. If Dan Morgan put his stamp on any of these terrible trades/contracts I would be looking elsewhere for a GM candidate. People should be responsible for their actions. My point with Morgan is it's silly to think he would turn down a job because they fired his friend for job performance. I get that you like the guy, but he was a part of this staff that has us in a mess and if he some how avoids all responsibility in your eyes then he has done nothing in his current role. Just sat there and took his check while Rhule did everything.
  19. He still has to play UGA as well. The UT offense is that fast pace spread offense that their coach used at UCF and I'm not sure how well it will translate. Hooker has a decent arm and decent speed, but nothing elite that will give him an advantage at the next level. He has his age working against him, but I do think he is a very smart QB which can take you pretty far. I just don't see him as more than a great backup and possibly decent starter. Nothing that should have him drafted in the top 10, which is where will be drafting. In the 2nd or 3rd then maybe, but you would have a QB that is pretty similar to Corral. A college offense with decent speed and arm strength that got banged up a little last year running against college defenses.
  20. This case it's not even backstabbing. If Fitt gets fired Dan Morgan taking the job or not doesn't change that. Fitt wold be fired for performance not just so his buddy can have his job.
  21. Yeah I really don’t understand it. He was a (more that likely) big part of our staff that got us to this terrible state. The “it’s unfair to fire him” is just odd. I’m still surprised at the “if you fire him his friend won’t take a promotion” view too. Can you imagine Dan Morgan being like “no I won’t take this promotion with more pay/responsibility because you fired my buddy.” Also what happens if our new coach is a Sean Payton and wants final roster control? I guess we could never fire Fitt. It’s a high paying job with no responsibility apparently…
