He was literally on the field with the players last year. This is just nonsense that Sizzle made up while he accuses reporters of doing the same.

Honestly I think he is an ok OC, just not head coach. We could use an average OC because we haven't had a good one in a while. With that said he nor could any OC in this league magically fix Sam into learning how to read a defense. -

He was waiting on the right situation, saw Sam Darnold and was like "perfect!" Seriously though, there would be cases of him turning down interviews if he was in such demand waiting for the perfect scenario. The intermediate coach thing isn't the best way to become a head coach. Unless he can completely turn the team around he would probably be replaced once the season is over. The Raiders interm coach got them into the playoffs and way still replaced. -

Teams can figure out an OC during a season, just look at previous game tapes. It's not like we didn't know what Teddy was going to do (check down and throw it short of the line of scrimmage). He just wasn't going to pull a Sam and roll out and throw it directly into the CB's hands on the wrong team. He can't read defenses so once the defenses took away his first read that is all she wrote. Sam looked decent early in the season when his first read was open or he could just run it in the endzone without going through progressions. Then teams watched tape (during the season) and took this away from him while he crashed and burned. The same thing happened at NYJ (seeing "ghosts" means he has no clue what he is looking at). I mean he is on year 5 now and shown zero improvement. It's not like the Chargers/Bengals had some great staff they surrounded their young QBs with from the beginning. The good QBs can still look decent with a weak staff around them. Darnold just makes a weak staff look worse... -

Stafford was always good at Detroit. That's why the Rams knew he was the missing piece and a big upgrade over Goff. He regularly broke 4000 passing yards with a 90 plus rating. There was just not much talent around him which prevented him from getting wins and making the playoffs. Our offense dropped dramatically from Teddy to Darnold. Same OC and pretty much the same players which tells me Sam is a good bit below Teddy who is pretty much a solid backup. -
Which current players would start on the 2015 team?

#FakeNews Luke was joining the Panthers at practice with Greg just last August and was on the field with the players mingling and having a good time. It was after he did the same at Buffalo. https://pantherswire.usatoday.com/2021/08/25/franchise-greats-luke-kuechly-greg-olsen-panthers-practice/

I can’t figure Brady out at all. He is defying science at this point in his career. At some point his skills have to diminish, but he was top of the league statistically last year…
-
It’s your opinion, feel free to give it. There is not right/wrong answer here as every QB on that list is great.
-
Yeah I see your points. My issue with Herbert is he hasn't taken his team to the playoffs yet and they have a decent roster. Brady was right behind Rodgers in the MVP race, but he also has a loaded team, but has proven he can win with less (but can he still at this point in his career). It's tough to establish and pretty fun to debate IMO. I was pretty much debating myself on where I rank Brady.

Woods will help a lot IMO. He lets Chinn become more of a box SS when needed which is like upgrading two positions for one player. I think Littleton and Wilson are both upgrades at the LB spot as well which will help our run defense. Reddick was a great pass rusher, but having him and Burns on the field at once really hurt our run defense. Hopefully YGM starts opposite of Burns and helps our run defense. Ioaninidis could he a solid pick up at the DT sport as well, because Jones was a disappointment last year. I see FS Woods, MLB Wilson, SLB Littleton, RDT Ioanidis, RDE YGM as 5 new starters (yes YGM played last year, but was limited behind Reddick and with injuries) and Chinn getting to play his more natural position. If you include Horn we have nearly as many new starters and repeat from last year.

I got Burrow Mahomes Rodgers Allen Brady Herbert Russ Stafford
-
When Allen is firing on all cylinders he might be the best, he is still a little streaky at times. Rodgers is the best regular season QB, but he has been struggling a little in the playoffs as of lately. It's funny that I forgot Burrow because he might be the best IMO. He and Herbert both have a smaller resume, but what he did with no OL was pretty impressive. Chase helps a lot clearly...

Nice catch, dance moves need some work. -
Damn. Yep! He is ok I guess....
-
Who is left? Brady, Rodgers, Mahomes, Allen, Herbert, Russ, Stafford, and I am missing one? PJ or Corral?

I'd be more than ok with this. Run a similar RPO he ran in college and slowly incorporate more throughout the season. -

Yeah he has had more chances than any young QB I can think of. If Corral isn't ready and we have no other options then fine let him play some games until we have a better option. Outside of that is should be Corral's job to lose at this point. -

They picked up his option after the draft on April 30th, 2021. It had nothing to do with his practice and was more because they didn't draft a QB and were overconfident they could "fix" Darnold. They have been chasing every QB available since last season ended meaning their opinions have changed. -

I kind of like Kiffin. He is doing great at Ole Miss where his teams have been outclassed with some SECW juggernauts. The Raiders thing was a mess to begin with and he was pretty openly against drafting Jamarcus Russell number 1, but it's what ownership wanted. Not to mention rookies got paid stupid money back then.
-
Kiffin next??

I can’t believe that news! I woke up so hungover today from it I thought it was a dream…
