  1. Look I'm not a fan of Rhule, but why do we care about optimistic posting??? Honestly it's the only time us Panthers' fans have a chance to be optimistic before our dreams come crashing down in the regular reason. Why would anyone be angry and try to take that from someone? Everyone has the same record before week 1 and who knows what can happen during the season. Odds are we will be bad again because Rhule has yet to prove otherwise, but I'm all for some optimism around here even if it's just during the offseason/preseason.
  2. It's the same people that hate Baker, claim he is no better than Darnold. Then they are pissed he will ruin our draft position and save Rhule's job????
  3. Plug and play draft picks are definitely a rarity. Especially ones that we expect to be Pro Bowlers right away. Can you imagine if the Colts deemed Manning a bust after he threw all his picks his rookie season?
  4. Evan Neal is struggling to. Research a little before you overreact. It helps…
  5. I believe he had like 4-5 penalties in his first game. It’s all part of learning the position at this level. The thing that worried me about Cross is he appears to be a LT or bust. Kind of like Little, where I don’t see him sliding to guard or RT if he struggles too much.
  6. Hey Carson Strong was 0/1 today! Are you just going to pretend you didn’t act like he was the best QB of this draft by a long shot?? You were obsessing about Strong like you are Corral now.
  7. Looks like Strong isn’t getting many reps today with the Eagles. Their 3rd QB is running away with the competition.
  8. If a buffoon like Rhule crushed his spirits, the guy will never make it in this league. Teams need a strong alpha QB to succeed. His foot also was hurt at Ole Miss. Injury concerns were there for a reason.
  9. It won’t register with him. He is all in on Corral being the best QB and blaming Rhule for his struggles…
  10. Making up poo again. What do you think we could trade an injured late 3rd round QB who has looked like the worst of his class so far for? The only advantage he has has a cheap contract. He is a project QB so calm down and let’s see what he has in the long run.
  11. He didn’t look good and then got hurt like he did throughout college. He needs to get healthy and add some weight to his frame to compete next year. You are obsessing over him like you were with Strong.
  12. Yeah if Corral was even close to “challenging” Darnold we would have probably stayed put. He clearly isn’t so we got Baker (who I’m kind of high on).
  13. What ever happened to Carson Strong?
  14. Hell Cam took Rivera to the Super Bowl. Look no further than our own franchise…
  15. Fields/Mac/Slater were all realistic options last year. I’m still high on Horn, but we have left OL (especially LT) and QB unanswered too long. Those are arguably the 2 most important positions in the NFL.
  16. Dude just stop. He clearly needs time to develop. QB1 in this class probably needs time unless you like Pickett. If he such a phenom he would be succeeding in spite of bad coaches. Burrow didn’t have a great staff and neither did Baker yet they found success early. Corral can still be a good QB, just not this year. It’s why he dropped to the 3rd.
  17. It was a 4th and future 3rd, but yeah I get your point. A 4th and future 3rd doesn’t scream this guy will become our starter IMO.
  18. It’s ok to like both Baker and Corral. You do realize that right? Baker was the one talking/helping Corral the most. I mean one could argue Baker had a shitty staff developing him as a rookie also.
  19. Maybe he is letting Campen make that call which would be a breath of fresh air honestly.
  20. Oh I agree, but if they could elevate our team’s play and have them competitive then that could set them up for a nice job in the near future. Rhule would almost certainly be going back to college, so it’s irrelevant for him to keep coaching at that point.
  21. What we currently have is the best long term play. If Rhule is willing to do this in a must win season then I’m all for it. Making Icky play a new position because it’s easier and provides better play in the present would be a short term play IMO.
  22. At least give an assistant a chance to audition for another team. The Raiders interm coach was in a tough spot and snuck them in the playoffs. Leaving Rhule in for laughs would be fair to his staff or players.
  23. I’m confused. Was it not already announced Icky would be our starting LT? BC is getting looks at LG, where he has looked solid AND that a position where he can have a longer term starting gig on this team as Moton and Icky should have our tackle positions locked down. If they want to flip Icky and BC, it doesn’t really matter to me but if they like them where they are at it makes the most sense since that’s Icky’s long term position (hopefully).
