  1. The biggest difference between Sam and Baker is Baker has shown a clear ability to get better. He started off good as a rookie, got trigger happy with INTs his 2nd year, then put up a great performance his 3rd year. Last year he played pretty “meh” battling through an injury that should have sidelined him. Sam made a jump his sophomore year and then crashed and burned his last two seasons throwing more INTs than TDs (something Baker has never done). Baker is an average starter (14-18 range) with some upside, while Sam might be able to be a below average backup.
  2. What stats are you talking about? Baker had a great rookie reason with 10 more TDs and 1 less INT after getting drafted by the WORST team in the league with the 1st pick. Second year is where Darnold gets Baker. Baker gets a new interm coach mid season, but still pulls a Winston by throwing 21 INTS. It’s Darnold’s best season with 19 TDs and 13 INTS. Baker crushed Darnold his 3rd year with 26 TDs and only 8 INTs. Darnold only plays 12 games 9 TDs and 11 INTs. Last year Baker STILL beats out Sam with 1 shoulder. Again Sam throws more INTs than TDs. Baker has missed 5 starts to Sam’s 15. Baker wins in career yards/game, QB Rating, completion %, Yards/attempt (basically every stat).
  3. It’s pretty much all about money. If a player makes a racist comment it’s not only incredibly ignorant, but will destroy any trust/respect in the locker room. A general rule for any business/society is to not make racist comments and better yet not be racist. Unfortunately a large number of us fans and players will look the other way on sexual assault/domestic abuse if the player produces on the field. Shame on us for looking the other way (the ones that do) and shame on the NFL for not cracking down on it enough. All they care about is their bottom line like most businesses.
  4. Yep that’s all coachable and expected. His “instincts” they were raving about when he has the ball in his hands are much harder to come by,
  5. As shitty as it sounds I think Carolina is concerned about Baker’s personality clashing in the locker room more than any off the field issues. Watson (appears to be a terrible person) never had any locker room issues that I’m aware of. His teammates typically spoke highly of him.
  6. I enjoy listening to him every now and then. Seems to be a pretty genuine honest person on his takes.
  7. Better hands than Robbie!
  8. The Falcons sure did have a rapid decline ever since he left.
  9. I'm hoping he is just trying to not name starters to keep everyone playing as competitive as possible. Icky should be out LT.
  10. The face that the Niners won any playoff games with as terrible as he played in the 2021 playoffs shows you how good of a team he was on.
  11. This is moving too slowly for us to get to 26. We need someone to come on here and say something dumb to get everyone angry. @SizzleBuzzWhere are you at??
  12. What about Carson Strong??
  13. Tua had a worse line than Sam and played significantly better. It helps gives you a value of Sam which is significantly lower than a player like Tua who is on a make or break year with the Dolphins this year.
  14. So to be clear, you think the Niners are being stupid and should just keep Jimmy G? He is pretty much Ryan Tannehill. He can put up good stats when he has a big OL, strong running game and isn’t needed to make key plays. Come playoff time he crumbles. If you like his stats check out his 2021 playoff stats.
