He isn’t wrong. Some coaches like Reid do because it’s their specialty, but Bill in NE had nothing to do with Mac Jones’s development. OCs and QB coaches get the most 1 on 1 time with the QB. Herbert’s development was more Pep Hamilton than his head coach. Most head coaches aren’t the ones developing players, especially QBs.

That’s such a big part of it. If you get a humble, high character person with great work ethic that is oozing talent/potential it seems like a high chance of working if the right players are around him (which we are kind of doing now). Roll out with Cam the first few games with a couple plays for Willis (thinking zone reads, short check downs to get him comfortable). Start working him into the offense more as he develops and we can run a power running offense with play action (imagine his arm on play action), lean on our defense and maybe win some games.

I think Tepper is going to decide the QB position since Rhule botched it so much. I don’t know if that’s good or bad…

McAdoo might want Willis for the upside. He liked Allen and Mahomes, both were big armed, raw prospects coming out. Mahomes was definitely more refined as a passer, but it was more of the system and he had some crazy form throws (still does).

Imagine him with a huge OL, CMC, Moore, and our 2 TE set of Tremble/Thomas (who are both solid at blocking)

I was told OL can't be addressed in Free Agency and we have to draft all our starters. Something isn't adding up....

Just look at the Falcons with Matt Ryan. Myles Garrett and company are going to want their money and who is his top WR now?? OBJ gone, Landry might be gone, their first round TE gone. The salary cap can be manipulated to a degree but money is money at the end of the day. Keep pushing it back and taking on dead money and it really limits you. Now they have no 1st round picks for the next 3 years to add cheap weapons/talent around him. In a division with a loaded young loaded Bengals team, Lamar's Ravens, and a soundly run Steelers team good luck to the Browns... they will need it. Oh yeah and he might STILL get suspended.

Tepper realized QBs want an OL and defense to join a team (shocking right?) so he is going to build one. They also want a good coach. That's not good news for Rhule....
