  1. Just because we think you are overreacting and being dramatic like you always do, doesn’t mean we are “simping for the teppers.” You are literally proving my point in this response about promoting Morgan and firing an “up and coming dude” from the Cardinals and our staff last year. Some people are just wanting to be mad and whine/complain. We promoted Morgan who was “up and coming” and it was a bad idea. We fired another VP from that staff who was also “up and coming” and it was a bad idea. Tell me what did Wilson do with the Cards and our last season that makes you want us to keep him so bad?
  2. Right “we stole him from the Cardinals.” Lol that was you right? I think you are just mad at so many things it’s hard to keep up. So we have a new GM and VP, now an old VP from last year’s staff is gone. This really isn’t news.
  3. “He was GM material” “I’m sure we made the wrong decision” Blaming Tepper. Blaming Young. Yeah we are all good here. My bad…
  4. So we are mad they kept Morgan but also made Wilson is gone? Interesting…
  5. If I remember right he was a big bodied, jump ball type WR. If he has stayed in good shape his age shouldn’t hurt him too much as he was never a speed guy. He might have a hard time staying healthy though…
  6. Yeah that contract isn’t as crazy as I thought either…
  7. That's kind of the vibe I got. They thought it would require 2 seconds, but made the deal because it did not require that. Maybe I'm missing something?
  8. We lost Burns, Luvu, YGM, and Jackson. We added Robinson, Clowney, Wonnum, Jewell, other Jackson, get Shaq back healthy, and upgraded our safety spot from Bell to Fuller. I don’t think we really “gutted” our defense in a sense, but it was overhyped last year and didn’t have any depth then either. Depending on how it all looks when we drop down to 53 I’d say it’s pretty similar to last year’s defense from a talent point.
  9. At the end of the day it’s just how Clowney compares to Burns. I would think Wonnum is better than YGM at this point in his career and the rest are rotational rushers that would be a huge bonus if any of them can produce.
  10. That’s not how it works. Every team doesn’t improve. Plenty of teams take steps backwards like we did last year. They all want to think they improved but that’s not the case.
  11. Yeah it’s misleading because our tackles played decent with Moton playing very good. We had individuals that were constantly ranked at the bottom and were constantly changing starters. So as a group they may not have been last but the bad pieces were some if the worst in the league/history.
  12. I think a few people have been saying 6 wins and an average offense would be a success and I agree.
  13. I don’t know, Jewell might be better than Luvu in Evero’s system. He was a 100 plus tackler a season. Luvu is better at pass rushing but I feel like he was playing out of position last year. Plus Luvu was a bit of a liability in coverage.
  14. You are stating opinions like facts. You can easily argue Clowney/Wonnum are better than Burns/YGM (I mean the OP actually does). I think losing Luvu for Jewell could hurt the pass rush as Luvu was better than and Jewell was better at getting tackles. Robinson and Brown at DE should again make life easier for our edges. It's just a wait and see. It's not like our pass rush was anything to brag about last year.
  15. I wonder if we release him or use him as a team vet leader. Obviously the main goal was the get the picks for taking on the contract, but he still can play some ball.
  16. https://carolinablitz.com/2024/06/28/video-bryce-young-terrace-marshall-xavier-legette-workout-in-la/ Last night Bryce Young, Terrace Marshall and Jonathan Mingo were spotted taking in a baseball game. Today the group, with the addition of Xavier Legette and others, were putting in that work on the field.
  17. AT is tough because he has definitely lost a step at this point in his career and should never be the top option in an offense like he was for us due to lack of options last year. He is a good veteran leader and has reliable hands, but I wouldn't think he should be more than option 3 or a nice 3rd down WR who is reliable. If Mingo or XL show good progress this year, I'd bet we opt out of his 3rd year or trade him away to a contender. Mingo really fits in best at his slot position and I hope he gets plenty of looks there which could help an older AT stay rested/healthy.
  18. I think/hope Robinson will help more than he is getting credit for. Brown and Robinson at DE are going to make things rough on OL with their disruptiveness. Hopefully that will make life easier on our OLBS.
