  1. Bryce is still suffering from PTSD, but I think he looked better, needs to build on it and try to show it for four quarters.
  2. NAS

    CJ Stroud

He would have still looked like the future, but our offensive line and weapons last year were horrible, CJ would have struggled and nobody would have been saying he's an elite QB (yet). circumstances matter

    CJ Stroud

Teams caught up to their scheme and injuries have affected them

    CJ Stroud

This was too funny not to post
  5. NAS

    CJ Stroud

I don’t disagree but I do wonder if some would question him because he would have struggled
  6. If anyone wonders what he would’ve looked like with the Panthers last year with a shaky offensive line and no weapons . Last night’s stat sheet vs Jets And yes he still looks the part but just shows you it is a fine line between success and failure in the NFL. Texans are obviously a better run team and will still win their division due to defense and a run game but Stroud is definitely in a bit of a sophomore slump
  7. if I was a GM, my best players need to be drafted and retained before they hit the final year of the contract. You supplement your roster in FA with primarily role players and to build depth on the roster. Maybe if you're knocking on the superbowl window you make a splash signing but we all know that may not come for years if all things go right.
  8. Only thing I would be critical of is the shape of our defense, but perhaps we have to acknowledge they had to prioritize the offensive side of the ball in order to properly evaluate Bryce. It should have been known that Defense would take a step back, but the injuries just made it 10X worse. I think calling Dan Morgan a horrible GM is way too premature, he will need to have a couple of seasons under his belt to be judged.
  9. Wilks was good for the culture and team chemistry, he would have had zero control on personnel decisions especially QB
  10. Needs to be targeted and featured more. It’s one of the main reasons I still watch the games watching this young man grow into becoming one of the best young receivers. He reminds me of Puka Nacua, if he was on Rams or 49ers he would be tearing it up
  11. Zero evidence any of this is Tepper. I am sure he is made aware and has ability to veto a move, but this trade is all Morgan
  12. We better not be paying his salary too
  13. Haha I guess better than nothing since he is on a 1 year deal but a 5th rounder is terrible
  14. I watched the entire game and he also played against a top defense which no QB has done well against this year. Conversely, Bo Nix looked like he was playing against a college defense
  15. Is Woody Johnson worse than Tepper?
  16. I find it hilarious and immature to poo someone's post just because you disagree with it. Anyone who reads my posts regularly knows that I just call it like I see it. I was a Stroud first guy. I am someone who can appreciate a nuanced conversation instead of the immature black and white approach to everything. I'm about 95% sure Bryce is a bust due to his heigh, but that 5% acknowledges there's a chance he can still be serviceable as a starting QB. When I compare the first two games he was totally in shambles, lacked confidence, constantly ran out of the pocket, did not step into his throws. Yesterday there were times he reverted back to those habits but you could also see where he remained in the pocket, eyes downfield, went quickly through his progressions, and tried to pass the ball downfield. I think it was the last drive where he delivered a strike knowing he would get hit (in fact a roughing the passer was called). His arm looked like it has plenty of zip even off his back foot. Just because Tepper was an idiot to trade the farm for Bryce it doesn't mean I will blindly hate on the kid and not acknowledge positives when I see them. Is he anywhere near where he needs to be? Not at all. He is inconsistent in seeing the field and making accurate throws, still lacks confidence as evidenced by the missed passes and interceptions, running out of bounds, running into a sack etc. . A confident QB delivers those throws and makes better decisions. I guess when I look back on Darnold, he looked like a lost cause and now he's playing well. Who's to say Bryce can't do the same whether here or somewhere else. All I'm saying is play him to the end of the year and then draft another QB or sign a vet. You can still retain him on the roster potentially to compete, or hopefully trade him for a team that saw enough on tape to take a chance. Peace
  17. Yeah Broncos focused on taking away the run and pressed the receivers. They definitely didn’t respect the passing attack
  18. Exactly just noting that he showed progress..not that he is the answer. Why are people getting so triggered?
