  1. 1) Todd Gurley 2) Jake Fisher (Via trade, will move up in second to grab him and will use our 4th to do so) 3) Rashad Greene 4) Traded to get fisher
  2. We now have 2 OT's who were actually drafted...DREAMS DO COME TRUE!
  3. Add in Norwell, Brown, Glanton and White as UDFA's and his track record is not just good, it's incredible. If he's not good with the draft, then hurney was a turd sandwich wrapped inside of an abortion.
  4. I think he'll get a 1-2 year contract, but if he plays his cards right he can have 3-4 years left in him, key is the right situation. Carolina is hardly a bad situation, New Orleans wouldn't be bad from a numbers standpoint, jax and Miami are roach motels for him.
  5. Padded stats means longer life in the nfl, longer life means more money. If he's a legit #2 her but only getting 7-800 yards receiving yards, if/when we move on from him, there is no other contract.
  6. Is Oher the Answer at LT, Maybe, maybe not, but I know Bell was NOT the answer and he can be brought back for pennies after no one signs him. Ginn Is a deep "THREAT", he doesn't have to have the best hands in the world to give the threat of going deep to him. If we brought in Jennings this would not fix our team speed, he would provide the #2 receiver people are asking for but honestly, that is still possible in the draft. I don't want mediocrity, but I do think we have more positives heading into this season than we did last, and when adding the Hardy and smitty drama to it all, we were set up for failure. There's no debate that right now we have better starters and more stability than we did at this point last season and it's not even close. Again, like I said, I'm willing to wait to see what happens in the draft because as of right now we have 9 rookies coming in and we need places on the roster for these players, and hopefully these players will fill the holes we have and provide depth where needed.
  7. I know a lot of guys are freaking out about the moves (or lack there of), but honestly, ask yourself, are we better now than we were at this point last season? The answer is an emphatic yes, we have tentative answers at RT, and both Guard spots, a #1 receiver, and 2 good Corners, and at this point last year, we didn't have any of that, add to that Bell is out at LT and we have a legitimate deep threat and kick returner (all filled out by a single contract). I would love for us to have a more legitimate #2 and some O-line depth, but honestly, we're not as bad off as some would have us think. Selfishly I want us to be a little more active just because I want more pertinent discussion for the panthers and not just draft talk and what if threads. I think we will make a few more signings but they may be after the draft when we will have a more legitimate idea of where our depth issues are, Remember, as of right now, we have 9 players being brought in as rookies, and if we want to hold onto some of the rookie talent, we need room on the roster for said rookies, or else we might lose some of these guys when we try to move them to the practice squad.
  8. I think we're just doing our due diligence with multiple possible prospects. I think the key with having Collins come in is not so much as he will be the pick, but the consensus is he's the #1 safety, we can base just where all the other safeties will fall in the draft based on his particular skillset. I don't think he will be our pick in the first. I don't think they are gonna trade up to get either him or Trae Waynes in the first round, I think the second round is where it gets interesting. If Fisher is floating around there in the middle of the second and they really do view him as the LT of the future they could move some picks to move up and get him. I'm never right with my draft predictions, but I'm gonna say we'll draft Gurley at #25, Trade up in the second and grab fisher, and use a 3rd rounder for a receiver/DE/corner. I know the Gurley pick seems crazy, but the RB position is getting devalued and just 3 years ago he would be a top 10 pick, and as long as Shula is our OC, run game is ESSENTIAL to us being viable offensively and I predict that Gettleman wants to move on from Stewart's contract. Fisher will shore up our O-line at the tackle and between him, Oher, and Remmers we might field a (dare I say it) decent O-line which will make everyone look better. In the 3rd it'll depend on what position of need has the highest grade for G-man for what we pick.
  9. I won't say it's all Shula's fault, obviously, that's the reason we need weapons on offense. That said, he does little to get the most out of the personnel given. When our RB's and o-line were injured it was square peg in round hole continuously by running the ball and calling deep passes to Cotchery and KB. If we had Tom Brady in his prime with Megatron and Fitzgerald in their prime on the outside and Darrin Reaves in the backfield, I would bet money he'd still be a 60% run OC. Guys who can not manipulate their system to fit their personnel do poorly in the NFL because (as we saw last year), plans change and you have to make adjustments. He didn't make adjustments, what happened was the personnel he needed to succeed in his gameplan got healthy and they did a "better" job executing it even though it was still a fairly poor Gameplan. Jennings will be an improvement as our #2, but he also can only do so much if he's not put into a situation to succeed.
  10. Funny part is if he could even possibly pull his head out of his ass and have seen the big picture, he could have come here last year and been a #1 or at worse #2, he'd still have a roster spot and a much better chance of improving his stock, instead, he's jobless and I think he's gonna stay that way. Good Riddance, other receiver options out there that actually WANT to be here.
  11. Man...now I feel bad, I didn't know/remember that play. I just thought he faded into obscurity. I still take the side of Chris borland retirement being overblown but it seems that I picked the absolute worst situation to poke fun at. Damn.
  12. It's so powerful that he retired...he just wanted to dance at his daughters wedding, concussions ruined him...I'm sorry I just assume all players retire due to that, that's what the national media has convinced me at least.
  13. I wouldn't get mad in the least. I trust Gettlemans judgement, and if we can set up our version of the 3 headed monster (Cam, KB, Gurley), then I'm for it. Gurley does have gamebreaking ability and actually because of the devaluing of the RB position could be a steal at #25. He will be cheaper than Stewart and we'd be able to dump stewie soon because of this, giving us yet again some more flexibility. I still think OT or WR will be our pick, but I really wouldn't put it past G-Man.
  14. Really? Yea....y'know...sure why the hell not...we're just opening up a ton of cap room for the hell of it...not to sign Cam and Luke.
  15. On the flipside though, Dallas is far more Assault Rifle friendly.
  16. I'VE WANTED YOU ON THE PANTHERS 24/7!!! AND THIS HOW YOU DO ME!!!!! YOU EXPECT ME TO LEARN FROM THIS??? HOW???!!! ILL NEVER FORGET THIS!! EVER!!! THX THO...
  17. I'm sure this hasn't been discussed ad nauseam a billion times before...
  18. Don't want. His last offseason showed just how much of an idiot he is. Oh you want a big contract you say, man, sure seems like being a 3rd/4th option in a system with a 3rd year qb seems like a cure all for mental retardation.
  19. He wasn't great last year, BUT, I personally believe part of his down year was his displeasure over the handling of the Franchise tag/contract. I don't think he'll put up the numbers he did in Nola because the offense won't be structured to maximize his potential, but he'll still be very good.
