  1. And marketing it to a larger region that covers more than just "charlotte" makes it a significantly large demographic area that the NFL would like to keep. We've covered the specifics and comparisons of market size in previous threads, such as this one:
  2. HURRY HURRY! TICKETS ARE GOING FAST! (source: ticket sales email from the Panthers this afternoon)
  3. it's a fine line in booing the coaching vs still supporting the players who are still giving it their all every play.
  4. Not likely with the Miami ownership situation for suggesting exactly that. https://www.cnn.com/2022/08/02/us/nfl-miami-dolphins-suspend/index.html
  5. Let's say Tepper decides to pull the trigger on Rhule after the Saints game puts us at 0-3 with a 57-10 thrashing. If we look at what's happened with other teams -- doesn't one of the Asst Coaches step up to fill the void until the end of the season? There's no reason/way for Tepper to hire a new HC immediately, right? A combination of inability to recruit from any other team mid-season along with the Rooney Rule, doesn't that severely limit the number of available coaches who could come in immediately?
  6. I want Luke to be "special consultant to the Defense". I get that he doesn't want to coach -- or maybe he just didn't want to coach under THIS regime -- but let's figure out how he can be used to teach the team how to watch tape and prepare each week.
  7. how many times have YOU gotten your balls batted?
  8. Good thing Igo doesn’t want this board shut down by people sharing how to circumvent the NFL copyright on their productiions. That has happened to other discussion boards.
  9. DirecTV does, right now, for anybody trying to watch via Sunday Ticket. thankfully the radio call still works
  10. The only legal ways to watch the game when out of market are through the NFL or Directv. that said, as I write this, Directv is down.
  11. From the press release: More than 150 Prime members who added Thursday Night Football to their Prime Video Watchlist for a specific game were the lucky recipients of an invitation to enjoy the stadium experience of a lifetime. Beginning with the first Thursday Night Football game on September 15, and at every game for the remainder of the season, these lucky Prime members and their guests will receive a curated package of premiere experiences to celebrate Thursday Night Football’s new home on Prime Video. These exclusive experiences for Prime members—from Chicago to Tampa Bay and in 13 other cities where Thursday Night Football games are hosted—will fuel their fandom from pregame to the postgame. In addition to game tickets, guests will receive a personal video from a hometown player ahead of the respective game they will attend. Guests will be provided a hotel room with goodie bags and premium giveaways to prepare for the game. Following transportation to the game, Prime members will meet with special guests including retired players, who will share behind-the-scenes team and player insights for the ultimate insider’s look. Prior to kickoff, guests will get up close and personal to the action as they stand on the field during pregame warmups. At game time, guests will make their way to their seats in the Prime-branded section and enjoy food and beverages throughout the game. At the end of each game, guests will enjoy a personalized game football as a keepsake. Win or lose, guests will then be transported back to the hotel to reminisce about this unforgettable experience.
  12. vegas shouldn't be taking bets on pre-taped reality shows. Live shows, like Dancing with the Stars (new season premiering next week on Disney+ ), are a different story of questionable legitimacy
  13. Really really liking season 2 of INDUSTRY on HBO. Great business-oriented drama about shenanigans at a London trading company. Season 1 was terrific, but Season 2 (airing now) is even better - and critics agree, with its 100% on Rotten Tomatos. Content-warning: drug use, alcohol use, adult situations, nudity, language.
  14. https://www.avclub.com/milly-alcock-matt-smith-house-of-the-dragon-scene-kiss-1849524417 Although they choreographed the kiss for months in advance, Alcock also reveals that she and Smith hadn’t practiced with the active brothel around them—in fact, they hadn’t even laid eyes on the setup. We felt pretty overdressed, because everyone else was nude.
  15. Figured it was going to happen (and technically, it *didn't* happen per the showrunners -- but Daemon was okay insinuating that it had for the later request to Varys) Had to doublecheck Milly in IMDB, cause that could have been SUPER DUPER creepy otherwise as opposed to just plot-wise creepy
  16. When was the last time we scored on three consecutive possessions, let alone come from far behind to take the lead?
  17. Would be nice if the NFL came out and said the refs did mess up that fake spike call, that it should have been a penalty an 10 sec runoff. And because of that, they’ll nullify the last second field goal that shouldn’t have happened and give the Panthers the win But that’s not going to happen. At best, we’ll get a cookie and a pat on the head
  18. Thinking more about the weird roughing the passer penalty where Burns didn't seem to hit anyone But yeah, the fake spike/spike was weird
  19. This D had better be fired up But not so fired up they get sloppy
  20. McCaffery hasn't played in so long that teams have forgotten what he can do
