  1. I just want to be excited to watch our offense again. We have been miserable to watch the last three seasons.
  2. Can you Imagine: O Line: Big free agent LT, Christensen, Elf, Austin Corbett, Moton. QB: Deshaun Watson WR: DJ Moore, Anderson, Marshall JR, Shi Smith Running back: CMC, Hubbard TE: Tremble, Ian Thomas
  3. If we sign a big name, I bet Erving gets cut immediately even though we only save 2 million in cap. I bet we can swing a trade for a 7th rounder and save 4 million in cap
  4. He’s a RG. It will be (number 6 pick rookie LT, BC, Elf, Corbett, Moton
  5. Lol you watched our line last season and find thing signing “dumb”???
  6. Great signing and very good value this early into free agency
  7. Many if you go back and really think about it even starting with Cam Newton in Rhule first season. Last year we knew about the staff and Teddy not getting along throughout the season. This off-season has been very active so far with leaks and we haven’t even really started. We know almost every player is available to be traded, the staff has jumped ship with many taking the same role on other teams, Anderson trade talks with the patriots, Tepper and his willingness to give the farm for Watson, exact trade compensation request for cmc, differences in opinions between Rhule and Fitt on Christensen at the end of the season and his ability to play LT, etc
  8. Idk it was well known that we wanted to give up a ton last year for Stafford. We know Tepper is desperate to find a QB hence us having three straight years of having a new starting QB and still not having an answer. If we were willing to give all that up for Stanford I have little doubt we would pay much more for someone like Watson. Does not seem like a smoke screen to me
  9. I was wondering the strategy also. All of these leaks help our position none. We all know IF we landed Watson we are going have a headline mega trade that will be a kings ransom
  10. That’s exactly what I was thinking. You made a great point about Russell Wilson and his trade…the same can be said about Dallas and Cooper, Wentz etc. We seem to know ever detail about deals we are interested in and every conversation we have with other teams about moves that may or not be even a realistic option.
  11. @Zod What do you think about this compared to previous regimes? Is this accurate or am I looking too much into this?
  12. I wanted to start a thread to discuss this topic and get everyone’s opinions on the matter. While reading through the 500 pages about Watson, a comment from @Verge made me pause and reflect on just how many leaks we have from our front office. It seems like every intention has been coming out recently, from Anderson to the Patriots, to exactly what we want in a trade for CMC, to our interests in Watson and what we will give up etc. It seems like we never really had things like this come out under Rivera and I wonder if it is caused by the uncertainty with Rhule and his staff not being loyal (which caused many to take the same role with other teams at the beginning of the off-season). What is causing so many leaks for us? It seems to be even more evidence to me the Rhule is in over his head and does not have a firm hold on his staff like other coaches in the NFL. He has also avoided interviews recently which is even more odd.
  13. No not really. I don’t care what people say, Elf was horrible and still graded terrible at center. Brown, a possibility but we have no clue. At this point he hasn’t played really at all and can’t be counted as a starter, we don’t even really know if he’s backup material as he was inactive for the majority of the year. We MUST get a vet starter that is proven in the off-season to have any hope at a halfway decent line because we still only have one proven player in Moton. This doesn’t even touch our depth on the line where we have….Erving
  14. From Pro football talk: Per Keefer, some concluded that Wentz displayed “a lack of leadership, a resistance to hard coaching and a reckless style of play.” Frankly, these are exactly the concerns that undermined Wentz’s time with the Eagles. That’s why coach Frank Reich’s advocacy for Wentz was so surprising. Reich knew the concerns. Reich, as he said last week in Indianapolis, stuck his neck out for Wentz. But Reich was smart enough to pull his head back into the shell and not pin his career on pushing for a second season for Wentz in 2022. When Keefer explains that the “Colts’ brass simply didn’t trust [Wentz] to be the franchise quarterback moving forward,” the lack of trust begins with owner Jim Irsay. Wentz knew that; he reportedly requested a meeting with Irsay to “clear the air.” Although Irsay declined, he had a pretty good excuse. He was out of town. Per Keefer, the two men eventually spoke.
  15. Well it was a win win for us. With the state of our team it would be a waste of money to have him, being that we won’t be in the playoffs next year. I am happy that he could mentor our young players for a season and we will most likely get a 5th round comp pick from him. I wish we had a QB so we could use people like him to have a competitive team. He was a professional and we need many more like him.
