  1. Rhule said Chinn would line up more as a safety, but he'll be used much like he was last year. Sometimes he'll be up on the LOS, sometimes he'll be deep, sometimes he'll be one-on-one with someone. In short, they're gonna put him in position to make plays.
  2. I agree with this. If instead of drafting Marshall, we had picked Wyatt Davis, for example, we'd expect him to start at G without question.
  3. Where have u seen this? Better yet, if we have Christ on our team, I say the heck with Sam, we put the Messiah at QB.
  4. Yeah, this surprises me a bit. I figured he'd at least make the PS.
  5. Walls and Olsen were better and it's not close.
  6. I'm thinking of the potential...it could be an insanely deep and talented receiving corps. If David Moore is WR4? Not that he's all-world, but considering what our past WR4's have been, he may look that way. And I honestly think Arnold could go for 500-700 yds. Someone is gonna always be pretty open. Just depends on our OL giving Darnold time and then him not blowing it.
  7. That's fair. I think this year's receiving corps has the potential to be better, so I'll just say I'm optimistic. I also think Darnold has the potential to be better than Beuerlein. So I'm really optimistic.
  8. I honestly don't think that will matter that much. We will run the ball, but with our receiving corps, Sam would have to suck pretty badly or miss a number of games (both of which is unfortunately possible) for us not to amass 4k passing yards. Given what TB did last year and this year we have a full off-season...hard to imagine not hitting that number. Again, provided he doesn't suck or miss several games or both.
  9. And neither of them had the receiving corps we have now...not even close.
  10. Think about who he's throwing to. We have 3 1k receivers + Arnold + Tremble + Marshall. If everyone stays healthy, he's hitting over 4k.
  11. If Sam stays healthy and plays at least 15 games, he's getting 4k yards.
  12. I'm interested in seeing our young OL and DBs.
  13. You're forgetting about Rashaan Melvin. Not that he's that memorable, but he's better than Oliver and Taylor...at least for now.
  14. This is what I'm thinking. They probably know Erving isn't great, but they're thinking Erving + Tremble = Above average. Then we can surprise people by throwing a few passes to Tremble on occasion.
  15. Surprised Hubbard hasn't been working with punt return team. I know he returned kickoffs at Ok St., and yes, I realize it's a different animal, but I think he could do it. He's good at making people miss. As a backup RB, it's a good way to make splashes.
  16. If Tremble lives up to the hype, he's gonna be a game-changer, literally. He loves to block and he apparently has good hands and can run routes. That's a scary proposition for opposing DCs.
  17. Not nearly as fast as Vick, but bigger. Every receiver he threw to was wide stinking open. He looks like a project to me. Frankly, he looks more like PJ than Vick.
  18. We aren't top 10 yet. Also, there's a vast difference in practice speed and aggression than game speed and aggression. If it were real, I suspect Darnold would've been broken in half at some point.
  19. Glad to read that Snow is bringing the heat on D. Iron sharpens iron. Good for our OL and Darnold.
  20. Look, Rhule is big into analytics. What he saw about last year was not that sacks or pressures ruined drives. What he saw was a young, talented defense who could not get off the field on 3rd down. So he picked the guy most likely to help end that trend. You can argue all day long about our OL, and I agree, I would've addressed it in the 2nd round, but picking Slater over Horn didn't make sense to Rhule from an analytics standpoint. I get that. We'll see if it pans out, like every other pick they made. But saying CB isn't worthy of a top 10 pick? In today's NFL? Are you serious?
  21. He's not gonna make anyone forget Greg, but he's gonna make a LOT of fans this year. He's a baller.
