  1. Nice summary. Thanks! Can’t believe DN hasn’t been replaced...awful!!!
  2. I think Tepper went overboard to justify keeping Hurney around for smooth transition or whatever reason. I always felt that Hurney would be canned - just didn’t seem to fit the direction of the new org.
  3. Another draft dud...so glad those days are behind us (I hope so)
  4. Yup. That’s a name I hoped to never hear again.
  5. I still believe that game was about sending Peyton Manning into the sunset a winner. Too many bewildering things happened during that game, including our total lack of competitiveness, to make me believe otherwise.
  6. Agreed. I absolutely can’t bring myself to watch that game again. The way we lost that game was beyond painful.
  7. And that folks is how a real front office operates. I shudder to think how those conversations would’ve turned out if Hurney was fielding those calls.
  8. I’m sure I speak for Panthers’ fans everywhere when I say I’m so damn happy we finally have a legitimate front office. The draft and Panthers Confidential video just sealed it for me.
  9. I get the feeling they would’ve taken Sam Cosmi if the WFT hadn’t snapped him up a few picks earlier. He score was pretty high on the athleticism chart from what I understand. But that’s JMO.
  10. At best Darnold will be a similar reclamation project for Joe Brady as Joe Burrow was. Burrow wasn’t much to write home about b4 Brady arrived at LSU. With better coaching and talent, Darnold’s career could take the same trajectory.
  11. I’m looking forward to seeing if last year’s newbies Pride, Robinson and Stantley Thomas-Oliver take steps forward after a full offseason. Both seem to have potential to at least provide good depth in the secondary.
  12. You’re right good sir...thank you. Would’ve been nice to have seen Rivera and co do the same in SB 50 but I still have a feeling that game was about Peyton Manning’s swan song. But I digress
  13. Rivera and Fox were notorious for their stubborn refusal to adjust. The halftime adjustments this current regime made on games last season almost brought me tears of joy!
  14. I’m still pissed about that game. Fox and Trgovac looked totally clueless on the sideline. What a waste of a season!
  15. I think I hear the “fat lady” warming up. These guys have mailed it in. It was fun while it lasted.
  16. Well, he is a “train wreck”, so what more can you expect?
  17. Here’s a quote from the Rookies Diaries article on Panthers.com: Panthers head coach Matt Rhule said he wants to keep a realistic goal about Brown's target weight, knowing that his frame is not conducive to being too lean. "I don't think he's ever going to be a 310-pound guy," Rhule said. "That's just not who he is. He's a big, powerful man. . . . "I would love it if he was in the, ... most guys wish he'd be in the 330s, but he might be a 340-pound guy." Based on this info, keeping his weight in the 330-340 range is a realistic goal. I’m excited about his and Moore’s potential to be fixtures on the OL for years to come. Our IOL has been weak for far too long.
  18. Encouraging to hear he’s been working Hall of Fame legend Bruce Matthews. Moore is diamond in the rough with great potential. I think we have our future Center.
  19. LOL...Oh yeah. Remember him once telling them: “You guys are killing me, but I won’t die alone”. Good times!
  20. That’s assuming the information came from a Saints’ scout. I found this tidbit from Gantt’s piece on Panthers.com interesting: There's a real division of labor when it comes to trade calls. Stewart has relationships in a number of front offices from his time with the Patriots and Eagles. Suleiman spent long stretches with the Steelers and Rams so he knows lots of guys. Allen's been here long enough to have developed plenty of contacts throughout the league. Based on their contacts and relationships throughout the League, it’s likely a scout from another team the Saints contacted previously tipped the Panthers off. Remember, these guys had been diligently working the phones and eventually you learn things. I’m just happy to finally see the Panthers playing chess instead of checkers for a change.
  21. It’s a refreshing change eh? Nice to be one or two steps ahead...this is what a professional organization looks like.
  22. I think the season is taking its toll with the injuries. Depth is an issue right now and these guys are gassed. Hope we can at least hold onto that 8th spot.
