  1. So there's no excuse to lose to them week 1, I mean they'll have a rookie QB...and basically the same team, or are the coaches year 1 better than ours year 2... what's going be the excuse, smh. Darnold might've been the reason for it all too. A team follows their leader...if you set a bad example well...we'll see...
  2. No, its pretty much Darnold is savoir. Believe in the coaches culture... And the same people crying Rhule believes in Sam forget he believes in PJ over Gier, but they quick to tear down PJ and promote Will... I made a thread on him before the Darnold trade but once again, PJ doesn't look the part...the man sat behind Luck for two years, XFL was his league, must I remind folks his name is PJ "All I Do Is Win" Walker... So guys like Robby who work their butts off from nothing to something don't get praised but a golden boy who can do no wrong when all he do is shyt on himself gets the red carpet treatment that can affect the locker room too. All I'm saying is if Sam starts off bad cut the loses start PJ, admit the Sam project was wrong but don't have me thinking it's going take another 2-3 years for Sam to catch up...5 games max...if we start out 0-5, why not Hell I made this before the schedule release...are y'all really telling me the jets r better than us this year...why because they traded away their problem and drafted a fix... lol First game going to tell me how the season going to go, no doubt in my mind if Sam loses to the Jets opening week this thread going be smoking cause I'm posting every Fields throw in practice lol...and Fields isn't even the starter yet so Im giving Darnold chance although slim.
  3. I honestly was on the road for 16 hours that day, from NC to Mississippi, 4kids mind you, listen to different sports stations talk about us passing on Fields and sticking with Darnold. By time I got settled in had a few drinks, I saw said article...n yes I blanked..lmao
  4. I respect your take, now I'm you speaking on Sam so there's that. But I want us to win, but I'm not falling for this Sam Darnold crazy way of thinking he's not who he is. Hell when PJ Walker is the starter then and only then do I see us tearing it up...but alas most want Gier...cough..y because he's from NC...lol...he couldn't even replace PJ last year on the depth charts but you can't used the excuse the coach knows best(going with Sam) then skip over the next guy(PJ is better than Gier) because let's just say "he not from Round herre" Not 2 remind y'all I was right but to remind those who were wrong ..which this team does masterfully... I've been on this board for a long time, got ban truthfully for a bad source saying Bell was coming to Carolina...some mod wanted him to badly n when it didn't happen I got booted...but I never said it was a fact..and I never hid the fact hell my new name is like the old one CarolinaPanthersinceDay1...duh I started the Cam over Luck thread before the draft before Luck opt out that year, got so much hate too but in the end who had the better career. I got real life relatives in the NFL...a couple got superbowl rings...one holds the record for longest run in the superbowl...n not just the NFL..NBA folks too...so conversation I have are real talk with the players not just fans.
  5. I say draft a CB in the second duh...Fields plus a CB...wow Now imma think of you everytime horn gets burn for a TD, it's not a guarantee he's going be a shutdown corner. Very idiotic to say he will shut down anyone at this point, that's like me saying Fields going throw 59 TDs his rookie year, if he does, I said it first. Lol... I get it... They're remaking the Great White Hope into a comedy but instead of boxing they got us starting Sam, smh
  6. Go look at all those QB needy teams dealing for proven bust in 2017, after FA most felt new scene, new person. Ex. Cutler, Geno Smith.. How did that go for them passing up on Mahommes(Fields becomes the new Mahommes) Oh wait a kid from Kansas City made his way to the Eagles and guess what, lighting in a bottle but does lightning strike twice the same way....buy wait eagles had some rookie QB who pushed Foles to go beyond... So the system does matter but finding the right combination of players at each position matters more.
  7. Then take in account how much he makes this year n Sam's 5th year option...yeah I'll be pissed too if I was Robbie
  8. So Sam going be our Alex Smith on the chiefs without the wins though. Am I rite? Then we find our savior, thank the lord And Mr. Scot to assume because he's moved to a new team doesn't wipe away his past Giving him the delusion he's still a rookie and this is him staring all over is babysitting...time to grow up or as Tepper would say grow some Brass Balls
  9. This thread going to be epic...when Sam proves himself
  10. That's actually very reasonable, the guy join because of Rhule. He could want to leave because of Sam. Throw out the chemistry crap, Sam is a QB and Robbie a WR, not hard to play catch. Hell Robbie made Sam look decent to be honest. Now Robby puts up his best numbers with Teddy, and tell him Watson being looked at, or maybe Stafford. Then it's Fields, Lance, Jones, a little talk if Wilson. But they traded for Sam, he was very quiet about that trade because the draft still hasn't happened. But then they pass on Fields, so it's known Sam the guy. Yeah, the only person in the building who knows Sam best is ready to pack his bags...smh...but we'll see. I like how if he does dislike Sam in anyway he's being very mature for a athlete. Robby gets traded then pulls a Teddy and says he didn't like the Sam trade, rather stuck with Teddy the huddle going have a meltdown...lmao After he left the jets he took a swing at them and Sam...
  11. https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/31478988/washington-football-team-releases-long-starting-rt-morgan-moses Moses has started every game for Washington since 2015, almost exclusively at right tackle, although he had to start one game on the left side in 2020. He often played through various injuries and over the years developed into a mentor for younger players.
  12. Actually I lost the Super Bowl that year because he was my starting QB, had -4points, lost by 2 points, if I would’ve started anyone else even if they had 0 points I would’ve won,so yeah I’ve been burned once before for believing in him. That’s proof I did once believe he could be a decent QB. Ive been saying he’s a bust his whole career afterwards. Just because he’s a Panther I’m not going change my mind until he shows he’s not who I think he is...a bust. and fantasy football makes you analytical when it comes to said players on your team, I’ve studied him since college and the same denominator is his poor decision making. You can lead a horse to the water, but you can’t make it drink=Rhule/Brady can coach Sam until he’s blue in the face but they can’t make him think...
  13. I want my team to win it all, and I hope Sam proves me wrong by doing so. But I've been against Sam his whole career, I had him for his rookie year in a fantasy league. I hope PJ passes him on the depth chart. While I think about that, would PJ get the same support had Rhule decided not to trade for Sam, and stuck with PJ as the starter??? So when PJ is the starter bc Sam sucks, and we start winning again, only then will I take full credit for being right. I believe you wrong to think Sam is a bust because of his environment, I believe he's a bust because Sam himself sucks.
  14. Some would argue yet again his first 3 years in the NFL has already proven he's a bust... unless you stupid enough to act like those years didn't exist.
  15. Some would argue trading for a QB who is a 1st round bust to be stupid. Yeah Saban overachieved his first year too, then came that 2nd year, how that decision at QB work out for him?
  16. Translation: "I can't have my own opinion, because he'll use my own words against me, because that comparison between Rhule and Saban was spot on."
  17. So by next year after losing with Darnold, by your estimate they will be parting ways with Sam, correct??? And once again, do they try to trade for a vet or do they learn from THIS YEARS MISTAKE and draft a F******QB!??? Darnold is 3 years proven bust, oh he played for the Jets, look at Tannehill in Tenn, it was Gase, in Brady's system, Rhule can coach him up, Fitterer is not Marty,(who was actually pretty good with first round picks, Fitterer the jury's still out) all these excuses for why he should be good here but when he's still throwing more INTs than TDs what's the argument then? And a group of professional football evaluators said once upon of time "don't sign D.Brees sign Culpepper, draft Ronnie Brown over A.Rodgers... Rhule walking a thin line next to Saban. .
  18. Let's just be honest, Fields sliding to 8 was very slim before they traded for Darnold. So after trading for Sam, they didn't want to look stupid, drafting Fields as Chris Simms kept pointing out. To me, they were worried about public opinion and value their own. What ever happens... sticking with Darnold over Fields/Mac is going to defined Rhule and Fitterer dynasty. Tepper wanted Fields, but he let the football gurus take a swing. I guess he doesn't want to come across as the next Jerry Jones.
  19. On the flip side, Jets looking to destroy what's left of Darnold's career to prove they finally got it right.
  20. Does Darnold get bench by halftime???...after 4 ints but somehow we're still in it. What do the coaches do??? Admit their mistake and let PJ lead the way, Jake Delhomme flashback 03 season.
  21. On Saturday, Payton ripped this year's quarterback class during an interview with The MMQB's Peter King, saying that he doesn't think any of the prospects are as good as Andrew Luck or Carson Wentz and adding that he "wouldn't be surprised" if only Sam Darnold is "left standing in four or five years." .....SMDH... images (11).mp4
  22. From this point forward, Tepper(making it public we needed a Franchise QB), Rhule(I believe in Cam, wait no Teddy, ok maybe Sam), and Fitterer(I really wanted to trade back, but now I'm the GM who pass on Fields)*And I know there's going to be some to say other GMs did but he was the first one that actually needed a QB and didn't get one*, are going to be tied to J.Fields his whole career anyhow... https://www-nfl-com.cdn.ampproject.org/v/s/www.nfl.com/_amp/nfc-south-draft-grades-panthers-falcons-add-enticing-talent-saints-surprise-agai?amp_js_v=a6&amp_gsa=1&usqp=mq331AQFKAGwASA%3D#aoh=16204524820077&csi=0&referrer=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.google.com&amp_tf=From %1%24s&ampshare=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.nfl.com%2Fnews%2Fnfc-south-draft-grades-panthers-falcons-add-enticing-talent-saints-surprise-agai They told the world Sam Darnold is better than Justin Fields, point blank. Poo all you want...but ever time Fields win and Darnold lose I'm bumping this thread to remind myself, as a fan I got screwed. Been a fan all my life, if you said at the beginning of last year who you want Teddy or trade the Jets for Darnold, though Teddy wasn't spectacular, he was a winner, and look what this franchise did to him. And now they want me to believe, they can turn a proven loser into a winner. They was scared Fields was like Cam, all the credit would have went to him turning this franchise around. So they want to prove they can without a... let's say a versatile QB. Horn can be Deion Sanders good, but Deion Sanders with a QB =Superbowls... Darnold is only Young(notSteve) in age, but will fall like Troy(notAikman) I'm always going be fan, but I feel the pain that Browns, Lions, and yes the Jets felt all these years, knowing this is just the beginning.
  23. I gave him 5 games, after 5 games last year, you could tell Teddy wasn't the answer and we were 3-2, guess how those next games went when the NFL noticed too.
