  1. Sad part is they will at least beat us once based on our rivalry. No matter how good we are, we seldomly sweep the Turdy Birds (see 2015). I hope I'm wrong and we smack'em with a broom this year!
  2. I would like nothing better than their new name (whatever it may be) to get canceled and they have to go find yet another one. One you bend to cancel culture the first time, they know they got you.
  3. Yeah, the closest I ever to coming to trading punches with someone at the stadium was a Cowgirls fan. He kept referencing their 5 rings every time they made a play. I was like, that sh1t is ancient history dude. The back and forth got more heated as the game went on. I think we won the game, but all I really remember was that prick. That being said, man I miss the good ole days at the stadium! Today, security would have been there before the end of the first quarter and we both would have been tossed.
  4. After nearly two decades of incompetence, I still am skeptical that Hurney was calling the shots in the 2020 draft. Also, some of the first guys listed were Gettleman selections.
  5. I wasn't really referring to you, but I remember a thread being started about it and essentially saying the team was so far behind that 2021 would be the cornerstone ( ground zero, year 1) of the future still too green to compete and that 2022 would be our first competitive team.
  6. I suspect ole Fitts will do everything in his power to get one, if not both, back. The 2022 draft was going to FINALLY be the one where we focused on the OL, legitimately, not counting day 3 project picks. I was hoping for a starting LT and C out of our 1st and 3rd rounds (obviously no 2nd rounder). Yes, starting centers can be had in the 3rd round, but once you get to day 3 though, it's slim pickings.
  7. On a pitch count and in certain situations, perhaps. He's not going to get the start with the idea of logging 100% of the defensive snaps.
  8. Yeah, situational or manned up on the slot. I don't see him as a plug and play guy for the game versus Dallas. In two weeks? Possibly.
  9. CJ doesn't know our scheme. It would be irresponsible to just throw him out there and not even know his teammates names yet, let alone how we run our defense.
  10. Remember we need a franchise LT AND CENTER, that's unless you think we should extend Paradis?
  11. Yep, some insisted 2021 would be truly year 1 of the Rhule rebuild and we wouldn't be competitive until 2022. I respectfully disagreed.
  12. I did and took into account he and his coach don't see eye-to-eye. I'm just pumping the breaks a little bit, that's all. Initially I got got up in an early in-season trade (SUPER rare for us) but then I started to dig a little bit and understand while this guy obviously has potential, he hasn't come close to utilizing it for whatever reason.
  13. I get it and if it works out then great. You guys are making Henderson out to be Revis or something. Dude is HARDLY a known/certain commodity. If so we would be giving up a lot more than a 3rd. This a calculated risk for sure. Henderson, while a first round pick, has not looked worthy of the #9 overall selection. Everyone is getting caught up on his draft status and not what he's done since his draft day. Take his draft status out of it and this is what everyone is so jacked up over:
  14. Nope, lost them via other trades, FYI. Anyway, multiple 6th and 7th rounders don't make up for zero day 2 picks.
  15. Sam is a looking like a real-deal franchise QB. That deal was a no-brainer. It also wasn't a knee-jerk reaction to an injury. Potential franchise QB for a 2nd rounder is a steal if it works out. A troubled CB for a 3rd is okay, but we could as easily filled by going another route. Dude was in the dog house in Jax. Urban could be a prick or maybe there's something to it.
  16. If I remember correctly, him being a reluctant tackler kind of soured me on him coming out of the draft. This scouting report backs that up: C.J. Henderson College Scouting Report Hopefully he has fixed some of these things.
  17. I get it, but that is spent capital and using your potential capital. Those are retrofit fixes for things this year, it doesn't help us at all with future needs such as OL.
  18. Yeah, He's gong to have to work magic to get some Day 2 picks as both are now gone. I mean, even 10 day 3 picks won't make up for the loss of both our 2nd and 3rd round selections.
  19. ^^^This. Not a Robby hater whatsoever, but he really is mainly just a deep threat.
  20. Agreed, but as with Samuel, you have to let some walk. This defense can't, by and large, be coming up for contract at the same time in a couple of years with us retaining every piece along the way. We've already sunk a ton of money in Shaq and just think of all the young guys that come up for contract over the next couple of years. D-Jax has improved his game, but he's not close to irreplaceable.
  21. While this is great, we need to recoup this pick somehow. Now we are missing a 2nd AND 3rd next year.
  22. Yeah, he'll be Curtis Samuel part II. He has improved his play, but he'll be looking for a LOT more money than he's worth and won't be worth the cap commitment for us.
  23. There's enough TE FA JAGs (just a guy) out there that if Tremble and Thomas can't get it done, we can sign one for cheap. We can use Marshall like a TE in passing situations.
  24. Agreed, that joke got old the minute it was uttered the first time.
