  1. So they built their offense around a TE? Think about that, a TIGHT END. Also, if he's the key for defenses, don't you think they were able to successfully neutralize him at times? He didn't put up these elite numbers in the MAC, Mountain West or even the ACC, rather he did this in the BIg Ten, which arguably is the best conference now...even over the SEC.
  2. ^This. However, if some team feels froggy enough and nobody at the top of our board falls, let them jump.
  3. McShay says there are only two can't miss prospects in this draft, Carter and Hunter and we aren't getting either of them. Don't trade down for the sake of it, but if it makes sense, why not?
  4. If the Raiders somehow pass on Jeanty, the Cowboys will be all too happy to come up to #8. We get their second rounder this year.
  5. These EDGE guys all and I do mean ALL, have holes in their games. The drop off from Carter to the next cluster of EDGE guys is fairly steep. If we have three EDGE guys ranked close together and move down several spots, we are nearly guaranteed to get at least one of them.
  6. It only makes sense. After the elite blue-chip guys (outside of Warren will all be gone), the next 10 or so guys are not dissimilar enough to ignore trade down offers.
  7. NFL dot com has Warren ranked as the 4th best prospect on behind Jeanty, Carter and Hunter. Sorry guys, it's easier to find an above average EDGE guy than an elite TE. These EDGE guys are all over the place depending on which site you look at who is the better prospect. In other words, if the experts don't have a consensus, or even close to it, who is EDGE2 behind Carter, then it's a crap shoot. Warren is the consensus TE1, although Loveland is ranked high too. I've seen Warren comped to Gronk and Loveland to Kelce. Gronk was a complete TE and Kelce is definitely more geared to the passing attack. I know we are 99.99% gong defense, I just think we may be forcing it depending on how the board falls. If Warren is there, the top defender should not be placed above him assuming Graham is gone simply because the emphasis of the draft is to retool the defense. Also, re-upping a TE on a second deal versus an EDGE guy as first round draftees down the road will be much more cap friendly.
  8. Maybe this is a bargaining chip: https://pantherswire.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/panthers/2025/04/13/nfl-trade-rumors-steelers-tj-watt-panthers/83068193007/ #21, Watt and next year's 2nd? Would you do it?
  9. The value chart I looked at has has the value difference at 600 points between our first round selections. That value unto itself is pick #31 in the first round. The Steelers do not have a 2nd rounder this year and would have to give us their 3rd rounder valued at 175 points, which means we would get their 2nd rounder next year. So the Steelers would only have a 1st, 4th, 5th, 6th and 7th this year if that trade occurred. That's a LOT to give up on Sanders who they seem to be simply lukewarm on.
  10. Ten prospects that could be available at #21 (based on one site's Big Board). I chose #21-#31 instead of trying to guess who might fall to that slot. I see several EDGE guys, a couple of LBs, Barron-CB, Grant-NT Egbuka-WR and Loveland-TE. I'm cool with this move down if it materializes. We could use the services of any of these guys.
  11. Pretty much nailed this draft. Got all the positions that I wanted, just would have liked to get a TE much earlier. Our defense got much, MUCH BETTER!
  12. Drafting Dart any higher than the late first round is a reach, massive reach. There's going to be 3 guys sitting there in the second round, Milroe, Ewers and McCord that if someone gets antsy, the price to move will be MUCH more palatable. Honestly, the difference in Dart and the next 3 guys is minimum.
  13. Yup, I got burned on Lance. Buyer beware--stay far, far away from RSOs. They are way too raw for arguably one of the toughest/demanding positions in all of sports. I knew Richardson was likely to flame out. He might be a reclamation project down the road, but as of now...in the present, he's a bust.
  14. Milroe might get snagged in the 2nd round. He's probably next off the board after Dart. So possibly QB4. He'll probably go before Ewers based on arm strength alone.
  15. Sure it's low risk, but zero reward. Heck, I'm happy for the guy he gets to put on a NFL uniform and make in a few weeks more than he would all year at a 9-5. My point is while yes, this is bottom roster, could they not find a better experiment, like a dude that actually played college football? Surely, there's a D-II or D-III TE that's north of 6'6''. I mean, let's be realistic, they signed this guy for his height so he can "Moss" DBs.

    Rumors

Will one of these dudes shock us and DEVELOP over time into a QB1? Statistically speaking, yes, but it's a huge gamble. My guess would be McCord, but it could be a guy like Gabriel who has played a TON of college football. None of these guys are your opening day QB1 though.

@MHS831 This is what we were talking about. Listen to about the 3:00 mark.
  18. One of the last Matt Rhule holdovers gone. So there's that.

    Rumors

Bingo! After Ward, any QB taken this draft will be seen as a backup or "camp competition" to the incumbent QB. No clear cut day 1 starters after Shedeur, not even Sanders himself. We would be stupid not to dip our toes into that 2026 QB pool as well. Dalton is getting ancient and if Bryce takes a step backwards, we could be right there in the conversation.

    Rumors

Possibly or they could keep him as a bridge QB. Got your bib on to catch all the drool?

I got four numbers for ya, 2026. The Colts know what this QB class is, rather is not.

They both back themselves into a corner where neither had options. Kind of a weird way to start a relationship, but I guess it could work out.
  23. Rugby players for running backs and then sign Messi to be the FG kicker.
  24. Bitter, lol! Embarrassed is more like it. This is purely a joke or a PR move to get publicity. There's is zero chance this dude makes the roster. Honestly, I doubt he'll even make it to camp.
  25. Yeah, I was talking about the likes of Swole Bones, Sullivan and there was one other forgettable name the team took look at. Not to mention the washed out tall WRs, QBs etc... that we have tried to convert to TEs. Again, we suck a developing guys at their natural positions, let alone completely new ones in the NFL, or hell, a completely new sport at it's highest level.
