  1. Unless he completely flamed out, he was always going to get next year.
  2. So you have The Cards in game in Week 2 and today, which the stats have not been posted yet. The 300 yard game and 400 yard game are the exceptions, not the rule. We all know Bryce is good to ball out 2 or 3 times a season. That's not prolific enough. The sub-200 yard games are the norm and that's just not second contract worthy.
  3. I'm not sure he needs a WCO. I think the taking the first read too often criticism is overblown.
  4. Also when we face a defense that is good enough to sell out for the run and still play solid pass defense. This is the Rico Dowdle effect.
  5. I absolutely did. Bryce had a great game today. If he more games like this moving forward, he may change my mind about him. As it is, he has a couple of solid games a year. Is this the one? Are there more to come?
  6. Any win against the Falcons is a great win.
  7. Lol... that is hilarious. Also, still yes.
  8. Yup, congrats to him for a good game. Still ready to move on.
  9. It's fate, we nearly always split with them. Sweeps by either side are far and few between.
  10. Might as well be. A Mod can update the title to "Must win game (Falcons Game Thread)". Kind of redundant to make a new one.
  11. We struggle in Atlanta and they are looking for some big time payback. We are looking for a win, they are looking for revenge. I'll give them the edge.
  12. Hey, at least we didn't sign Justin Fields...
  13. Good size and arm talent, but a one-year transfer wonder. He needs to go back to school and see if can can duplicate or improve upon this season.
  14. Mendoza have his typical day. A 300 yard, 4 TD, 0 INT, 92% completion game. Ho-hum, another day at the office. This is against Wisconsin too, mind you, not UNCC.
  15. Close enough, Darnold threw a 4 pick, 0 TD game. But yeah, keep to your one talking point.
  16. The most entertaining Sunday of regular season football as a Panthers fan ever, even though we didn't make the playoffs.
  17. Nope, doesn't work that way. Transfers are where they finish their college career, not where they start. Tua was their man, he's the QB they rode with and why Hurts transferred. My point remains and Hurts is a Sooner.
  18. How about stay away from Bama QBs? Name one successful one recently--NFL success.
  19. You know who else looked like crap? Sam Darold, who is right now the odds on favorite for NFL MVP.
  20. Lance had one season of starting experience at a D-II school and got hurt at the start of both seasons as a 49er. No, he really never got a real shot. Trey needed reps...a sh1t ton of them considering how green he was. It never materialized. He's been in the League four years now and in multiple offensive systems. At this point he's ready to compete for a starting job. Nobody in their right mind would hand him the starting job, but as someone already alluded to, like Delhomme, all he's looking for is the opportunity to compete for QB1. Delhomme left the Saints because he was firmly entrenched as QB2. Jake came here because we told him he could compete with Rodney Peete for QB1. That was enough to bring him to Charlotte, even though Rodney beat out Jake in camp. Herbert isn't going anywhere, so Trey is looking for a chance. That chance shouldn't be that steep of a contract and easy to get out of if need be.
  21. No falcons in the pic. I could make that pass too with no defenders around.
  22. Yeah, but there's a Tet-like WR in every draft nowadays. There's not a Tyler Warren comp every draft and that was the point I was trying to drive home to folks last spring. You draft the one that's a rarity when you have the chance. No telling if or when that opportunity will come around again for us. With Bryce, he'd likely have more yards...as TEs typically get the underneath routes and we have a QB that specializes in shallow underneath passes.
  23. When he was 21-years old and had only one season of starting experience of college football under his belt? He never should have come out, but this was prior to NIL money. The landscape has changed so much. RSOs literally have zero reason to come out in today's college football environment now they are compensated.
