I've seen Joseph all over the place...as high as a late 2nd rounder to 6th. What grade do you have on him? I'm splitting the difference and saying late 3rd early 4th. Do you think an anticipated run on corners is diving up his stock with some folks in mocks?

Mine too for RT. Maybe he could develop into a LT? I only want him if two things occur in rounds one and two. First, we opt not to take a QB and take a LT. Secondly we don't double dip on O-line before round 3. While going OL with the first three picks would be great, we need a CB before day 3. If no QB in round 1: 1)Sewell/Slater 2) Stokes/Samuel 3) Mienerz/Brown (I know, IOL vs. RT, but Quinn should be gone)

Welcome and if you know anyone else wanting PSLs, tell then to hit me up. I've been trying to dump mine for several years now.

There is still buzz about the Falcons taking a QB. While it's possible, I really don't see it happening. I honestly think it's to get Denver, Patriots or even Washington to jump up to #4.

The renewal email went out March 9th. Without going to my PSL account the options are still monthly payments or pay in full by May 3rd.
-
They sent it out electronically last month. Honestly it's still sitting in my inbox because I don't want to pay it. I'll bite the bullet and look over it this weekend then immediately start calling people to get interest in buying the tickets. I've heard the League anticipates stadiums to be full capacity this fall, so I doubt there is an opt-out this year. If so, count me in if I can't offload the tickets.

What scares me is Apparently Atlanta is in love with him. That would piss me off to have to play him twice a year when I wanted him on the Panthers roster. Mark it down, Atlanta is taking Pitts, Lance or trading back to get a haul . -
Report: CB AJ Bouye close to deal with Panthers

Sorry, no. Douglas was borderline horrible. -
A lot of bad breaks have to happen early in the draft for us to be taking a WR. That is soooo far down my list.

Bengals sign thaddeus Moss does this effect pitts?

Burrow and Chase have a strong connection. You know Joe is lobbying hard for that to happen. Those two were money in 2019. -
Deal.

That's a odd bet. How about an avatar bet? Yes, I'm game for a bet, just not real sure about what you are talking about in a 'repeat my statement' bet. To the end of round 3 (including comp picks) and have to be drafted as DTs. Agreed: 5 or less you win, 6 push, over 6 I win.

It's amazing how many people miss this point. The importance of the QB position has grown exponentially over the past decade. That's the reason you don't see teams leaning on game managers anymore. QBs are expected to go out and win games rather than just playing 'not to screw up'. This is why we still may draft a QB if one falls to #8...like for real, and not just playing head games with the rest of the League.

We may or may not draft a QB. However since you watch football (we all do) you are the expert. Trash PFF and others all you want, but they get paid to provide football analysis and all you do is pay you cable bill to be an armchair expert. Could it be a smokescreen? Certainly, I'll acknowledge that, but you in your divine "I watch football on TV" wisdom knows it's 100% a smokescreen. You are quite funny, actually. Garoppolo was not a first round pick--moot point, Smith was a known commodity and has been passed around like a sorority girl at a frat party. Matt Cassell...where do I even begin with that joke (see poor man's Garoppolo). Tannehill was brought in as a backup, not a starter, so of course his compensation was going to be lower. The Patriots were able to trade Garoppolo and Cassell because they kept a back stock of decent QBs behind Brady and used that depth to their advantage. Where they screwed up is thinking Brady would never walk, he did and they got caught with their pants down by trading that away and only having scrubs waiting in the wings. Do you see the value of having capable backups or any parallels there? Probably not. BTW, Sam has Grier and Walker. I wonder what their trade value would be? I'll give you a hint: the monetary figure resembles an egg. Apparently you think competition is a bad thing, unless it's pseuo-competition, you know, scrubs. As for the 2nd rounder, let's do the math, 32+17 is 49. Once you hit around pick 50, it's not all that valuable. Heck, Fitts thinks the talent after middle of round one begins to taper dramatically. What does he know? I mean he's only a real life NFL GM. He also firmly believes in stockpiling talent (notice I didn't say warm bodies) at the QB position. Keep watching TV and maybe one day you can become a real life GM or at least buy a plaque to mount over your big screen that says so. -
Stockpile, stockpile, stockpile and eventually you have a winner. It's like going dove hunting with a single shot round versus a scattershot round. We went all in last year on Teddy and it backfired. The team learned their lesson. We are not going all in on Sam. Even if we don't draft a QB, expect us to bring in real competition for Darnold unless they are unable to move Teddy. Grier or Walker will be holding a clipboard all season or end up elsewhere, possibly even both are out of Charlotte by the beginning of the season.

Oh? Man, my crystal ball may be working after all. I've been told all morning mine was defective.

Rhule lives in fantasy land too. He's my neighbor. Apparently Rhule, Fitts and Tepper don't rely on a precedent to make big decisions for this team. What a breath of fresh air!!! -

Probably not the best, but at least this guy attempted to set up some sort of metric. A poster saying 'first round QBs suck more times than not' (paraphrased) is citing a highly scientific, labor intensive, peer reviewed study that is apparently too nuanced for me. Maybe it's just their opinion. -

No, It is cheap, not cheap-ish. Darnold's 2nd next year will not be very high and his 4th virtually a 5th. You say this is speculation, and it is, but I guess your crystal ball works better than mine? I could care less if you trust my opinion, lol. If Darnold craps the bed, at worse, he hits FA in two years and we have our replacement already in house, with NFL knowledge and scheme savvy. This is not like Aaron Rogers and Jordan Love. Love will be in purgatory until the Packers decide what to do with Aaron. A rookie QB here will be in limbo MAX two seasons. By that time we will know exactly what to do with the two QBs. Hedging your bets is fantasy land? You truly are a fan of the Panthers where mediocrity is the gold standard. -

The best I can compare it to is the Chargers with Brees and Rivers. While Brees was not a perceived bust, he was marginal enough for them to draft Rivers. Brees stats finishing up his rookie contract: In 59 games, he threw for 12,348 yards, 80 touchdowns to 53 interceptions and averaged just over 200 yards per game. Source They were in a no lose situation. One could argue they should have kept Brees based on how he turned out with the Saints--but that's hindsight cherry picking, however, the Chargers really were in the fortunate situation of choosing between two starting caliber QBs. We never stockpile QB talent and let the best man win, simply put all our eggs in one basket and keep our fingers crossed. And people wonder why we've always been a mediocre franchise. -

Nope, not off the cuff, but at that point you have a legit #2 not named Grier or Walker. Heck, I mean we a have a 3rd round pick tied up in Grier and he won't EVER be a starter in this League. Darnold is a low-risk gamble with our draft capital, but we should not be foolish enough to hitch our wagon to him for the long term if we have an opportunity to draft a safety net. Now, this is only if Lance or Fields falls to #8. I am against using more draft capital to chase a QB by moving up. If one/both are miraculously there, I would be VERY hard pressed to make that pass. -

If Darnold has a competitive bone in his body, it certainly should create a competition and bring out the best in the rookie and Sam. -

According to the source, being a starter more than half of that player's career. -
