Wilks had his shot and went 6-6 with a poo schedule. We got blown the fug out by the actual good team we played in the Bengals. The defense regressed and the offense was stale and predictable. Wilks has had more than enough shots in the NFL, maybe he can find a spot on his old buddy MoRons staff.

Why just to make him feel good? There are better candidates for that job as well.

So we are going to get another coach that likes to take shortcuts with QBs. He never showed any willingness to develop a QB in Indy, they just kept trading for old retreads. I wonder which bum we will get stuck with after they hire reich.....

Why is mediocrity so attractive?
PootieNunu replied to Ivan The Awesome's topic in Carolina Panthers
OP smoking crack. Nothing Wilks did was " amazing" He is a bottom tier NFL coach. It only appears like he did something great because Rhule was at best an OL assistant coach at the NFL level. If we dont hire Wilks no one else is either, hes not even getting a interview unless its to satisfy the rooney rule, the dude is not a NFL HC. -
I am rooting for the GIANTS tonight and you should too!

Im not making an argument, I just think you have other reasons.... The Giants also have 4 super bowl wins..... I would rather see a team that has never won at all win it. -

I'm not mad we didn't draft Surtain, but Horn needs to stay on the field and stop being mister glass. -
Surtain is first team CB, too bad we couldnt have got him....oh wait.....

If you want to get the #1 pick from the Bears, what's your move?

But future firsts are not really firsts right??? So its just like trading a 2nd and 3rd..... -
Beating the Saints cost us 1 draft slot after all

Woah bud, dont move the goalposts. The conversation was saints fans were happy that they lost the game. -
Beating the Saints cost us 1 draft slot after all
PootieNunu replied to Peon Awesome's topic in Carolina Panthers
Lol assuming. Your just looking to argue for the sake of argument. Winning that game had no benefit for next season. Building morale by backing into a 10-7 win against a garbage team that wasnt thinking about winning. -
Beating the Saints cost us 1 draft slot after all

They went head to head with the 2nd worst team in the league, they are still picking #2 and the bears dont need a QB, unless someone trades in front of them. -
Beating the Saints cost us 1 draft slot after all
PootieNunu replied to Peon Awesome's topic in Carolina Panthers
Why would they not be, it was a meaningless game and it gave the winning team a harder schedule for next season. Now we get the 2nd place schedule next season. -
Beating the Saints cost us 1 draft slot after all
PootieNunu replied to Peon Awesome's topic in Carolina Panthers
Imagine thinking we embarrassed the Saints by winning a game they didnt want to win. We also moved down one spot in the draft and gave ourselves a harder schedule for next season! WTG! -
So I Guess they have already spoken to him and know his development speed. IDK how long he needs to develop or if he ever will, and neither do they. Its just moronic to say a guy needs to sit two years without even knowing how fast he learns new things and what kind of coach he will end up with.

Anthony Richardson at 9, A good HC to develop him, Sam or similar veteran to start most of next season.

Wilks Set This Team Back
PootieNunu replied to Move the Panthers to Raleigh's topic in Carolina Panthers
Yet we are still back to square one and still talking about the draft, just picking a few spots lower. It was nice that Joe Bob and Mary Alice got to cheer for the Panthers before switching into their other teams jersey, I guess. It is not like we were making any noise in the playoffs anyway. Wilkes screwed us for personal gain, there is no upside. -
It doesnt matter if he picked the players, he picked the job because there was jack poo else out there for him. I really dont want to go with Ron Rivera 2.0 and let Wilks even attempt to build the team. He has only looked decent because he was replacing one of the worst head coaches in NFL history, he is still a bottom of the barrel HC.
-
We just got outplayed by a bad Steelers team and you are still talking about the playoffs? Making the playoffs is the worst thing we could do at this point, we are not beating any real playoff team running Foreman and Hubbard 50 times a game, those guys dont scare anyone. It makes no sense to make the playoffs and get crushed, then watch teams that are better than us pick before us in the draft.
-
The biggest problem is our HC and OC selections. We are not going to see a prolific offense or great QB play under Steve Wilks, he is a run the ball, play D type of coach. Stuff needs to change and it starts at the top, Wilks is a good guy but hes not a NFL head coach in this era.

Catcrave 4 QBs if panthers drop out of top 10
PootieNunu replied to raleigh-panther's topic in Carolina Panthers
Great strategy, BPA unless its a QB,P, or K. Since you value the 3 positions alike. I just hope you let the front office know when a franchise changing QB is available and we are allowed to draft him. I guess you knew Allen, Mahomes, Rodgers, etc where franchise changing guys ahead of time. -
Whew that's a load off my back, I was genuinely concerned for teppers well being. I'm glad he got to save the cash and he won't be forced into poverty.

Matt Rhule Hired as Nebraska’s New HC
PootieNunu replied to Prowler2k18's topic in Carolina Panthers
fug Rhule, he didnt even have a relationship with the best players on his team. Nothing about Matt Rhule says decent fellow to me. He seems like a con-man know it all.- 155 replies
