As seen on Marketwatch.... (I have questions)
PootieNunu replied to PanthersATL's topic in Huddle Lounge
Let people be happy. If they have been together for 11 years obviously something is going right. This is no different than shaming someone for their sexuality. Now if he was 48 with a 15 year old thats a whole different thing. -
Some people on the huddle obviously like overpaying off-ball linebackers. Shaq is an average starter nothing more.

Well, this should generate some massive arguments

Im ready for Wilson to fall on his face, or get put there by our pass rush. -
Dead cap for cutting him next year is 12m, im not sure if he is a june 1st cut how much it is. If we do just outright cut him, we are going to pay him 20m for one more than likely average season.

Darnold is on the list once, they say he is the worst passer outside of the pocket. Lock and Wentz are very prominent throughout the article. Wentz is on it 3 times, Lock 4. -

Well Darnold is only on the list once and we possibly paid less for him than the colts did for Wentz. -
The probably are not watching, but they will take notice of it if they think about signing him.
-
Well David Newton sucks. I am not sure how he still has a job, maybe blackmail?
-
That basically means he did not put forth any effort to learn the playbook and sucked all around. The eagles only have 2 other qbs under contract.
-
No idea, maybe it does remind him of home, but I dont know in what way. The question might have needed a follow up, like in what way does Charlotte remind you of your hometown?
-
Players talk bs to the media, its not new. He is definitely just being nice and trying to fit in. Not that there is anything wrong with that.
-
Oh the restructure, I forgot. He has a cap hit of 8mil this year, but 18m next season, 19m the following season.
-
He is paid like he is elite, so I expect that, not consistently average or just slightly above average.
-
The only problem is he is under contract with us. If he wanted to play well for one season and then get paid he should have signed a 1 year deal. Unless he becomes a complete douche about the situation he will be playing here. No reason to trade him away for peanuts.
-
Allowing a 90.7 passer rating is not exactly solid coverage. 55 blitz attempts, no sacks and only 2 qb hits. He tackles well, that is about it. How they get consistent out of this is weird. I guess he consistently underperformed.
-
He is not getting a new contract from us, at least not in this offseason.
-
So what there are 31 other teams in the league. His spot here is probably gone, but he could try to show some sort of effort if he wants to get picked up by someone else. I guess he is ok with being out of the league and is happy with the money he has made already.
-
The Butker horse has been beat to death. He missed 6 xps last season. He is not some great all pro kicker. Is he better than Slye, sure, but its not the end of the world. Let it go.
-
He could not make it through OTAs with a team that has Jalen Hurts and Joe Flacco with nobody else. Not sure he is a good pickup for anybody at this point.
-
Jameis did throw 30 tds in his last season as a starter. The dude can throw, he just makes stupid mistakes. He has more talent than the QBs we have fielded not named Newton or Delhomme.
-
Hush your mouth
-
True, he did get flushed for not wanting to extend the old vet favs. Either way it was a colossal failure and he has been worse with the NYG.
-
He probably had to sign Kalil. Ryan was promoting him and JR was still the owner. Im not so sure his hand was not forced.
-
I agree, wholeheartedly. I still remember when the news hit on TV, I couldn't believe he rescinded the tag from Norman. What in the actual fug was he thinking?
