To be fair to OP the thread is fine. A few guys came in and started pooing on it, then for some reason you decided to pile on -

I don’t think Sanders is good enough where teams are going to be willing to give up when it takes to get our spot but the Carr news only helps us. Best case scenario I think is the Saints swap with us because they think someone else is getting 8 and we get an extra 3 and take the same player we would have at 8. I’d love to pick up future 1sts but the Steelers and Rams are perennial playoff teams so most likely will be mid 20s next year. -
God forbid this is the way the Draft shakes out

Imo pick needs to be TMac or defense. But I wouldn’t be mad if they went with Warren -

Yeah that’s very true. I just don’t think he comes in here and replaces a #1 WR in Canales scheme. Warren would be a great add. We’d still need another WR imo -

How? If you had a crystal ball and knew you would get Bowers production his rookie year he would have gone after Nabers -

I really like Warren but saying he’s a WR is quite a stretch. He’s a really good blocking TE and is willing to do literally everything on the field. Finds soft spots in the zone very well but isn’t the receiving threat Bowers or Pitts was coming out. I’d be happy with him at 8 but don’t think we should be under any impression he solves our lack of talent at the WR position. -

You’d obviously go offense here. Be dumb not to. Warren or TMac don’t overthink it. -
Needs context. If I can trade back with the cowboys and pick up an extra second this year and third next year I’m doing it. If I need to trade to late 20s for only next years first for a team that will be picking low again next year prob not
-
Wow, this is the dream scenario.
-
I don’t want our FO to have any reason to even consider trading up. Since there’s no chance he gets to 8, hopefully the Giants grab him #3 quickly and we stay put
-
As of today, who would you draft at number 8?
jb2288 replied to PleaseCutStewart's topic in Carolina Panthers
T Mac. Think this is classic “overthinking”. Dude has been the best WR in college for the past 2 years with glue hands. Huge need on our team. Don’t overthink it. -
Ryan Fowler: Panthers hosting Texas A&M Shemar Stewart
jb2288 replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
I’d be beyond pissed if we took this guy anywhere in the first. -
Really like this draft if you replace 8 with Graham or a trade down and get Walker or Warren. With our track record of coaching up RAS guys I want nothing to do with Stewart
-
Im great with Greg Hardy’s, taking those dudes in the 6th round and maybe you get lucky. But yeah nope in the 1st
-
I don’t think there’s anything wrong with kicking the tires. Like I said, I think they wanted a ridiculous return for him and we said we’re out.
-
I think we were seriously trying for Tee but weren’t willing to make a reckless offer which the Bengals wanted. Tee and DK are legit everyone else this FA is meh. I really think Tmac is the pick at 8
-
2010 Hurney wanted Clausen. He (allegedly) offered our 2011 1st to move back up and draft Clausen. That 2011 1st ended up being Cam.

Excuse me but wut
-
He's plenty gameday fast in college
-
Yeah there’s literally zero doubt.
-
I hate it. Which means nothing but I will be talking poo on draft night.

It’s hard to project 2 years in the future because of how much the cap grows each year but I think it’s fair to say when we pay Bryce we will not be able to retain everything on the OL. I think we keep the left side and then the right we shuffle some cheaper guys in. We have never paid a WR or TE for Bryce so that doesn’t seem to be an issue currently. We paid Chubba. So he currently has 2/4 of the groups you mentioned. I think that is sustainable after you pay him, I hope it’s OL light and WR instead of OL full and RB tho. the key is clear tho, you gotta draft well to succeed
