That’s fine but it’s still a part of the business. You fire 3 head coaches in 5 years and also 3 interims…doesn’t exactly instill a lot of confidence for the organization.

What’s that bear doing? Whats his name? Sir Purr, you call him that? Okay. “Thats our mascot.” (Marshawn Lynch level.)

Seems like Tabor and Campen (and maybe Caldwell?) were the initiators of the Hunger Games? They benefitted initially but are getting cleaned out fast now.
-
Perry Fewell is an even better trivia question. 7 head coaches in 5 years under Tepper. Ron Rivera Perry Fewell Matt Rhule Steve Wilks Frank Reich Chris Tabor Dave Canales Cant make this stuff up.

That’s gotta be a fun building to be walking around in right now.

Cleaning house. Is Brown next?

Fired on the same day: HC Frank Reich QB Coach Josh McCown RB Coach Duce Staley Promoted to HC that same day: ST Coach Chris Tabor Later fired: GM Scott Fitterer Later hired: GM Dan Morgan HC Dave Canales Then fired: Chris Tabor (does this count as Tepper’s 5th HC firing in 5 years?) Was Tabor the one texting Tepper? I really really want to hear some of these guys interviewed about what happened. Definite Hunger Games environment. There’s a reason none (McCown, Duce especially) have not spoken out (NDA).

This board would flip if we tried to replace a 5’10 QB with a 5’10 QB.
-
Broncos board I don’t support this nor think it will happen, but this Broncos board is suggesting Russell Wilson to the Panthers (Canales was with Russ a long time in Seattle, ). Russ is almost definitely getting moved (or cut) but I highly doubt it’s to Carolina. FWIW

Check out Steve Young’s career. Started in the USFL for 2 years, then the TB Bucs, widely regarded as a huge bust… …and then followed Joe Montana to win 3 Super Bowls in SF.

Drew Brees was not great with the Chargers. HoF’er now.

J person, Athletic. Canales has one job Fix Young
HardcoreHokie replied to raleigh-panther's topic in Carolina Panthers
I agree with that, that’s why I say we need to have the best backup QB in the league with the most upside. Tyrod, Minshew, a few others are just better than Dalton and still won’t threaten Bryce long-term - just push him. When Bryce needs to be benched, Bryce needs to be benched. And we need to still have a chance to win the game. -

You changed this whole topic around, but that’s what we do on The Huddle I guess. Gardner Minshew, Tyrod Taylor, and Jacoby Brissette are better starting QB’s than Bryce Young or Andy Dalton *RIGHT NOW*. Bryce should start, but he needs a vet at #2 that will push him and also keep the fans happy (wins) if inserted into the lineup. Not someone to threaten his career (Fields, rookie) but a vet to compete. -

Tyrod Taylor and Alex Smith could not be less comparable. Not sure what you’ve been watching. Regardless, the point is you need a backup with UPSIDE…risk adverse is not the priority. Andy Dalton is risk adverse but he won’t push Bryce in any way. If Bryce doesn’t play well, we need someone to win games and push him at the same time without threatening him. -

Said it before, they need to pick up a top backup QB. I vote Tyrod Taylor (perfect compliment) but you could also do Brissette or Minshew for reasonable deals. Bryce needs to be the starter, but he has to have a realistic leash (i.e. better than Andy Dalton). Tyrod can’t seem to stay healthy but is a beast when he is; think he’d be an ideal vet for Bryce and the Panthers -

Hornets Trading Rozier to the Heat
HardcoreHokie replied to Prowler2k18's topic in Charlotte Hornets
Isn’t that exactly what Kyle Lowry is? 37 years old at $29 million/yr? -

I feel like we could’ve given up Hayward for a similar deal, no? Lowry for Hayward? Expiring for expiring? Old dude for old dude. -

We can draft Lamelo’s son at that point (except it’s protected so we’ll have to trade more picks). 2050 8th seed Playoffs! -
Does Ron Rivera have a tax lien or gambling habit?
HardcoreHokie replied to TheBigKat's topic in Carolina Panthers
Panthers currently have Jim Caldwell and Dom Capers on staff. -

A “protected 2028 1st” - we just started 2024, 4 years out and protected?!! I dunno, the (hopeful) salary dump is fine but man Terry was worth way more than this. Heat fans and even casual fans are loving this deal for Miami. -
Nothing like that ER visit with twisted Johnsons. Embarrassing for all involved.

Today is the most the Hornets have been talked about in years, lol.

Hornets lost 7 of the last 8, one of the worst teams in the league, both centers are out, facing KAT and Gobert on the road against the #1 team in the West. KAT hits 10 threes, scores 62 points… …and the Hornets win. Sure, pass it this way.

When did numbers/math/statistics become “Analytics” and all of a sudden be a whole new thing? WTF?
