Bro, The Ghost Of McAdoodoo Past still runs the halls of BOA. WTF kind of playcall was that???
-
Can't recall a more bummer of a preseason game ever lol. Again, we have plenty of time and all, and preseason doesn't mean much ultimately, but this is complete and utter ASS. Like we have shown NOTHING to be encouraged about. The OL is supposed to be the deepest, most talented unit we've had in prolly a decade, and does not require gameplanning to be functional and they've gotten their ass handed to them the whole game. The defense has been gashed, which is a little more easily explained with the scheme switch and all, but ooowee mayne, this poo is ugly.
-
Also, FWIW, Corral looked 100x better on that drive than he did at all last preseason. That first pass was great pocket awareness and manipulation. OL sucks ass still though.
-
Somebody run up to the booth and see if McAdoodoo is still in there. Damn bro...
-
Yeah, this is horrible from the offense. Not encouraging at all. I know it's preseason and there's plenty of time but yeeesh.
-
Annnnnnnd right on cue. Good grief. Did not expect this.
-
Our OL is getting their asses whooped.

Im telling yall, I been saying it since last season... Barno is for real. He showed it more towards the end of last season when he got playing time, but you just saw it again there... the dude is likely gonna end up taking YGM's spot this season snd I think will end up being a huge steal for where we drafted him.
-
Welp. Offense looks fairly underwhelming early.
-
Did McCray get the start? Because he was in there on the second drive.
-
Yeah, it was a bad decision.
-
Who was it we had returning the punt? I didn't see.
-
These run lanes are YUGE!
-
That was good patience on that cut back too. Feels like he started showing more of that towards the end of last season.
-
Ickey got his ass whooped there lol... also, that was an egregiously late hit.
-
Somebody mentioned the other day they didn't know where Barno fit on the depth chart for our outside rusher guys... FWIW, if he's still #90, he made the tackle on the opening kickoff, so I think he's sitting in a good spot to stick.

Yup. And I've said this to my non-Panther-fan friends the last two years, but if he could finish the majority of the plays where he got to the QB and wrapped up, he would be sitting at 15+ sacks the last two years each, easy. I think this is the year he finally hits that mark, especially with Houston coming in and the defensive scheme switch. Just feels like everything is coming together for him to have a monster year... and in saying that, I hope we get that extension done sooner than later. -

Yeah, it looked late and appeared like it was against zone coverage too, not a good combo. And fwiw, I'm not posting this as a "I told you so" because as I've posted elsewhere, Bryce has been phenomenal and I will relish being wrong about the pick and having not wanted to take him in the draft, but one of the things that scared me the most about him was when someone posted the advanced stats on throw attempts and completion percentage by location on the field, of the top QB prospects, he had the lowest completion percentage on sideline throws. That still worries me a bit, but again, I trust Reich and McCown to strengthen that part of his game. He seems to excel the most in throws over the middle... But yeah, that wasn't a great throw, but one guys get away with making sometimes... good jump by the corner as well. -

I feel like i say it every season, but Burns looks even bigger this year. Pause. -

Wonder if that was by design or because I keep reading Mays has had several false starts? -

Overall, doesn't sound great for us -
I pretty much gave up on him after the Pats preseason game last season when got run over and through on the series Corral's season-ending injury happened on. I don't give a poo about footwork or any of that in that situation where it happened - you're playing other 3rd and 4th stringers, you're still massive and much bigger than most of them, and a d-lineman straight bullied him and put him on his ass like he was 150 lbs. I still had high hopes for him until I saw that. That ended any I had left.
-
Wow. I thought they were keeping him on the outside. But his build does seem better suited to inside, I just think his skillset is more accentuated as an outside guy though.

WR i still think Shi has great potential... he started out hot last season and then after that big drop in that ine game early it was like his confidence crashed and he got the yips. So i give him the edge over Byrd. Yes, Byrd is a great weapon as a speed guy, but if Shi can play up to his potential that he showed in flashes last season, he reminds me of a young Emmanuel Sanders. OG, Nash is gonna make it. Edge, you left out Luvu. I feel Barno is gonna make it. Haven't heard much from him this TC but he showed a lot of promise in limited action last season and his athleticism is otherworldly. I actually think he would make it over DJ at this point based off what we know from Barno and what has been reported about DJ so far. And I would venture to say, both may actually make it over Haynes despite Haynes starting out higher on the depth chart because of age and draft pick investment. Also, Leota and the other UDFA guy we signed at the end of last season whose name escapes me this second are making a lot of noise. And CB, I still believe in Taylor and love Wright's potential. I'm keeping them. I always liked STO, but I think he has kind of reached his potential.
