    As bad as that was 20 years ago, now we're in the era of ultimate team. Everything's got some stupid card game that drives all the revenue.

    Ironically 2K did the same thing to baseball in response. EA's MVP 2005 Baseball is one of the best baseball video games ever made. In response to EA killing NFL competition, 2K secured the exclusive third party rights to baseball and killed off the best baseball game. It's bad for everyone.

    Yeah unfortunately sports games peaked around 2005. Then all the exclusivity agreements ruined everything. I would be so hype about a NFL front office game similar to Out of the Park Baseball.

    Bristol is a decent little town. I've been there once before. But the viewing experience seemed really bad for the Speedway Classic. Rain aside, the track is just not setup well for a baseball game. I'm not sure hockey would be that much better because you're so far away from the action. The race car going around the track on home runs was cool though.

    Ability to actually catch footballs is part of that ceiling. Without that it’s useless. I'm not giving up on him but I don’t think you’re being realistic about his tools.

    I’m gonna go with the guy we took top 10 as the highest ceiling. XL has room to grow but I’m not sure about highest on the team. Id add that if you’re gonna be that generous with ceilings then jimmy horn JR has the highest cause you can’t teach speed. But it quickly becomes pretty clear how useless of a statement that is.

    They're just trying to suck all the money out of the fans, but they will kill fan enthusiasm eventually. Who's going to take our place when you have to pay a premium fee to even watch the games? Sports can't be successful without an audience. We won't be around forever.

    The less than legit streams usually suck though. At least in my experience. I'll pay to have solid quality HD streaming to my big ass TV. But I have my limits. At this point, I'd honestly quit watching before I hooked up my laptop to the TV and watched it in 480p or whatever.

    All the major sports leagues are. It's really stupid. You have to subscribe to like 10 streaming services to watch every game (including the relevant league pass)

    Thielen and TMac are gonna drive Mr. QB School insane this year. He hates WR that call for the ball with no separation. Although I guess that's understandable from a career backup lol.

    Madden ratings have always been silly. I haven't played in years but they used to just tank young players' "awareness" rating (whatever that does) to stunt their overalls down to the 70s.
