  1. Yeah the term "team friendly deal" was thrown out a lot today and to me thats the same thing. If he is not the guy getting him cheaper does do poo. If he is not the guy he is not the guy. its been 3 years and its quite literally the same result not sure what magical corner he is going to turn in year 4. We have heard it every offseason. Having to eat that dead cap in 27 potentially would kindof suck because hopefully the roster is rock solid and there may be a qb you can drop in and keep winning
  2. I think picking up the 5th is a mistake. Here is why. What if its just more of the same next year? Then you have a 26 million albatross around your neck and no real way to get out from under it. If you dont pick it up and let him play year 4 and he "balls out" (I mean come on who thinks that is going to happen) then you simply tag him and move on down the road and try to ext him. You have options. Picking up the 5th is tethering him to your team one way or another for 2 more years. I cannot think of anyone outside of lunatics like mac and bone who would be upset to simply let him play out the 4rth year a la Jones and go from there. They were even pushing back against bringing in competition for him next year. Said the team likes dalton. They want to see how the last 4 games go. I mean fug didnt we just do this last year? Why would the last 4 change anyones opinion of him?
  3. The Panthers haven’t given up on Brooks, but they understand the risk of reinjury following two ACL surgeries. I can’t see them going into next season with Brooks and Etienne as Hubbard’s primary backups. The Panthers don’t want to be in the business of letting good players leave. Whether they’re able to re-sign Dowdle will depend on his market and how much they want to invest in the position. It would be pretty stupid to give him a multi year deal IMO
  4. My memory is telling me that was all on Richardson. He loved Jake and wanted to reward him. Or something to that effect
  5. I would trade down and ride him one more year. They are not going to be anywhere remotely close to competing any time soon so no reason to go nuts and draft another qb. They have some major issues on the horizon
  6. Again, and I had forgotten just how invested Mr scott was at defending Fitterer until I looked at his history, but this is the same dude that started multiple threads saying Fitt wasnt the problem. His football acumen has a lot to be desired. Just keep that in mind when you are trying to discuss this team with him. If you want to laugh search his history to around oct 23. Oh boy he has some doozys of a thread there.
  7. For fug sake man, can you read? Where did I criticize bryce and where did I make excuses for TL? goddamn and bryce is in a way better situation. Better oline, better rbs, better wrs. What in the holy fug are you watching?
  8. I dont necessarily disagree just really curious as to why that is? He either must be a dunce, a bad teammate or must be horrendous in practice because I thought he showed promise at least in his 2nd year
  9. Its AI but here goes nothing: Trevor Lawrence's catchable ball statistics vary by situation, with his highest rate being 74.1%74.1 % 74.1% in a clean pocket and his lowest on deep balls at 41.2%41.2 % 41.2% . When pressured, his catchable pass rate is 51.6%51.6 % 51.6% , and it's 55.2%55.2 % 55.2% on play-action plays. Lawrence has also been impacted by a high receiver drop rate, which makes it appear as if he is more inaccurate than he is. Catchable pass rate by situation Clean pocket: 74.1%74.1 % 74.1% (ranks 28th out of 32 quarterbacks) Deep balls: 41.2%41.2 % 41.2% (ranks 23rd out of 32 quarterbacks) When pressured: 51.6%51.6 % 51.6% (ranks 15th out of 32 quarterbacks) On play action: 55.2%55.2 % 55.2% (ranks 28th out of 32 quarterbacks) Red zone: 65.1%65.1 % 65.1% (ranks 15th out of 32 quarterbacks) When blitzed: 69.2%69.2 % 69.2% (ranks 19th out of 32 quarterbacks) Compared to: Bryce Young's catchable ball stats vary by situation, with a high catchable pass rate of 73.2%73.2 % 73.2% in a clean pocket (30th in the NFL) and a 60%60 % 60% rate on deep throws (20+ air yards), which was 10th in the NFL in 2024. However, his pressured and blitzed catchable rates were lower at 39.7%39.7 % 39.7% (31st) and 60.3%60.3 % 60.3% (29th), respectively. By situation Clean pocket: 73.2%73.2 % 73.2% catchable pass rate (30th in NFL) Deep ball (20+ air yards): 60%60 % 60% catchable pass rate (10th in NFL in 2024) Pressure: 39.7%39.7 % 39.7% catchable pass rate (31st in NFL) Blitzed: 60.3%60.3 % 60.3% catchable pass rate (29th in NFL) Red zone: 62.5%62.5 % 62.5% catchable pass rate (22nd in NFL)
  10. KC was winning as well and they were still like "fug this, he sucks get a replacement stat"
  11. Sure you did buddy, you are never going to live that down arguing with folks that Fitterer was a good gm. I mean that was your shtick for a good year when it was plain as day he fuging sucked. Time or not he fuging sucked and it still shows to this day and you are really going to say with a straight face you didnt defend him at every turn? come on man just own it, we have the receipts you know
  12. I am assuming this is true. And its kindof crazy that there hasnt really been a story about why Howell cannot stay on a roster. 2023 Sam Howell had to throw upwards of 50 times a game and 84% of his balls were catchable. Of his 612 attempts, 84% were catchable. (According to sports info solutions) EIGHTY FOUR PERCENT. That’s with the defense knowing he was going to pass. No run game. No defense having to respect play action. An atrocious offensive line. 84%. He was sacked 65 times.
  13. sign howell, draft a guy and make it a fair competition I think we all know what would happen
  14. I would bet dollars to donuts a guy gets drafter. No way that doesnt happen
  15. I think any reasonable non bryce stan can see this. The qb room has to be upgraded massively in the offseason
  16. if we pick up the 5th we are stuck with BY for 2 more years same as the Jags albeit a pricier one but you can get out in 2 years. Thats why a swap would work. Change of scenery for both guys
  17. you are arguing with the same dude that until the bitter end argued that Fitterer was a good gm keep that in mind
  18. Hopefully we see that an ext cripples your organization. Throw in Miami as well.
  19. I'd flip young for Lawrence straight up contract and all. Change of scenery would do both good
