I am not even sure what to think anymore about this. Canales would be insane to trot Dalton out there against the Chiefs but there is literally no point in not naming bryce the starter.

Problem with that assessment is that bryce is out of runway. Incremental baby steps isnt solving anything for planning and the future.

A)again growth is relative to where he was. He was basically the worst starting qb in the history of the modern nfl last year and through 2 games this season. Has he improved from that? Yeah sure but he is still the worst qb in the nfl right now B) for fugs sake please stop playing the what if game. The ebbs and flows are penalites and dropped passes are part of it, you dont get credit for that. And if you do you need to factor in the poo throws he gets away with

Yeah I know, Canales is done with young and I dont see any realistic scenario where he is our starter week one next year. All I am saying is that without a qb that can win games on this roster it really doesnt matter how well the other players are playing because you simply cannot win consistently without a qb in the nfl
