  1. This. I have more confidence in the Panthers D than the O. If the O can't produce sustained drives (including the 2nd half) our D will be gassed and NO will take the Panthers to the woodshed. In conclusion: O has to produce consistently for 4 quarters for the Panthers to win.
  2. Not concerned 1st game of the season. If there isn't a decent RB rotation by mid season, yeah, I'll be concerned.
  3. As an old Oakland Raiders fan, thought I was gonna have a problem dealing with the Raiders moving to Las Vegas. Nope. Beautiful stadium, great crowd, big improvement over the old digs.
  4. Just Win Baby! Great response by Carr and the Raiders!
  5. Exactly. That is what worries me most is that we allowed a bottom dwelling Jets team hang around and almost mount a comeback. What does that say about the Panthers coaching staff? Payton is a proven commodity and the Saints have quite a bit of talent to boot. I'm not saying the Panthers don't stand a chance, but they're gonna have to play a much better/smarter game next weekend.
  6. Winston doesn't have to be a hero for the Saints. If he makes too many poor choices that risk the outcome of the game, I'd expect Payton to pull him in favor of his backup/Swiss Army Knife.
  7. Browns had time to score. No doubt, they didn't want to leave any time on the clock for Mahomes to respond and were cutting it uncomfortably close.
  8. True, but that is where the similarities end. Browns talent level and performance last season justify higher expectations.
  9. Panthers are gonna have to pull a rabbit out of their helmets to beat NO unless Winston gifts wraps some pick sixes. Saints are a far sight better than the Jets and the Panthers had all they could handle today.
  10. Cleveland is gonna be a contender this season, took KC to the limit. If not for a punter error, the outcome may have favored the Browns.
  11. CMC was mentally and physically prepared to play today. Some of his teammates and coaches seem to be lagging in their homework.
  12. Football 101: Gotta take the points early in the game and get on the score board.
  13. Two not very good teams, both in the process of recreating themselves, face off in week one. Win or lose, I wouldn't be too quick to draw any conclusions from the outcome. Gotta give the Panthers more time than that to show their true colors.
