Pretty much agreed with everything you wrote. Yeah I know we HAD to give Moore up for the trade to work, it seems like a WR being in the mix was one of the sticking points for the Bears trading the pick regardless. It has come out the Raiders wanted to move up but had no young WR to offer up as trade.

I am less concerned about the QB now then I am about the WR and TE position. Wouldn’t be surprised if we go all offense in the draft. 2nd pick definitely needs to be a WR, in a very weak class, or TE. Honestly the more I think about it the more I wish Chicago would have just taken 3 firsts instead of Moore. Gonna be a really rough year for the rook if we can’t get him some weapons.

Food for thought on The Trade and the Pick.

I never want to see that damn word ever again. Versatility is something you want in college not the damn NFL. Screw Rhule.
-
Wasn’t that mostly Rhules fault? I mean the contracts he gave them were still terrible but Rhule was the one pushing for 2 bad linemen.
-
I just read above he wants 16 million potentially. No thank you. I like Bozeman but no center is worth LT money.
-
I hope it doesn’t come down to paying Bozeman or Burns. We can afford both…maybe?
-
Seems to be a Fitterer MO. Similar to Hurney’s terrible contract extensions.

My problem with Bryce was always height. I just wish he was a few inches taller. He does not look over 200 pounds which was a surprised at the combine. But Stroud is a statue in the pocket and rarely goes off script. Some of the complaints are similar to Carr. On paper, from a pure QB standpoint, Young is the better QB. But that height. Taking a short QB is a risk. As I said before I am fine with either QB. I like the potential they both have, which is elite. But I will probably flip flop a lot till draft day.

While I would be happy with Young or Stroud, I prefer Stroud. I agree with people saying why take a chance with the Texans screwing us, when we just spent a ton of resources moving up to the 1st pick? If we can 100 percent make sure the Texans won’t take who we want I am all for moving back, but if there is even a shadow of a doubt. Just stay put, imo. I still think the Panthers will stay pat unless something changes.

None of the Negative Nelly stuff.

Corral bros.... what do we do now?????
TLGPanthersFan replied to Sean Payton's Vicodin's topic in Carolina Panthers
Where else was he gonna go. He probably would have just been drafted by another team and never given a chance. Corral as the franchise QB died when he got injured. -
Bears fans are happy.

No problem.

Already addressed this. Didn’t reread it after I made the post. I am aware smokescreen makes no sense.
-
As long as it is Stroud or Young I won’t complain.
-
The bitching will calm down in a few days and then the start of which QB we should take discussions will begin. Should be really entertaining month and a half of off-season.

So... Common Sense Says We're Drafting Stroud... Right????
TLGPanthersFan replied to tukafan21's topic in Carolina Panthers
Gonna be interesting what comes out of pro day for all 4. I predict a lot of fluff articles saying how impressed we are with every one. -
As as people enjoyed winning. Still gonna be a little bitter toward Wilks at how he hurt this team by winning. Should have made McAdoo interim then we would have tanked properly.

Yeah I wrote the paragraph and didn’t reread it. Smoke screen makes no sense I agree. Should have just said that we will be seeing a lot of BS articles saying we like Levis or Richardson with the first pick or why we should draft them with the first pick n
-
I expect a lot of smoke screening and articles saying how we love Levis or Richardson. It is Young or Stroud. They are the best QBs who could either start day one or eventually the same season if we decide to let him sit for a while. Like Tua, which seems to help him.
