  1. I'd bite your arm off for Young to put up those types of numbers.
  2. I think we should trade up to #1 overall. We're desperate for a QB.
  3. I'd have my clients take every test and perform every drill. The NFL isn't a place where you go to hide. If you're worried about a slow 40 time etc and opt not to run then you're going to get eaten alive in the pros.
  4. If Shanahan resigned from the 49ers, how many NFL owners would immediately fire their HC for him. Conservatively I'd say 20.
  5. Sure they do: https://www.reddit.com/r/CFB/
  6. He was good. He could have been special if he had a healthy knee. You'd be livid if you were a UCLA fan though - that's a cheap hire.
  7. Purdy wilted last night - that Trey Lance trade finally came back to bite them. He left so many yards on the field - I had flashbacks to Young last night.
  8. Canales to Tepper now he's got a 6 year contract behind him: "Yeah, Young is shite. We need to move on".
  9. I just need Purdy to come out and say "thank God that didn't happen" during an interview today. GOAT status is there, Brock, you've just got to reach out and take it.
  10. Way to double down on being a lying sack of poo, Matt.
  11. No it doesn't. He's over 30, i.e. "the wrong side of that age". It's a young man's sport.
  12. To be fair I'd quite enjoy watching Young try to deal with Diggs having a meltdown on the sidelines.
  13. Eeeeeh. Watch how he addressed the Teppers at the press conference - he was overly effusive and maintained eye contact. He's as much a salesman as the rest.
  14. Why do you think integrity is important? Most of the best coaches are scumbags.
  15. Well he's been inflated for 2 years then, cos he did a similar job in Denver. It's a sensible appointment.
  16. It wasn't Top 5, it was middle of the pack. However talent wise it was dead last. Evero did a very credible job.
  17. Al Golden gave an amazing introductory press conference at Miami and he couldn't find his ass with two hands and a flashlight. Rhule was pretty inspiring too when he got up to the pulpit. I'm reserving judgement - I'm not really looking for a great public speaker, just a great talent evaluator and a great leader. That doesn't show in a press conference.
  18. Yes, cos the NFL is certainly known as being merciful...
  19. Well Canales is charismatic, I'll give him that. Morgan, however, is not a good public speaker.
  20. He just had a myriad of soft tissue injuries for 2 years that have suddenly cleared up now he's a 49er.
  21. I can only assume that Johnson made it clear in / after his first interview that he wasn't interested in the job. If we're demanding that Young is our starter in 2024 then most established candidates will look elsewhere. Also I think people get way too tied up in good playcalling O/DCs being good HCs. It's an entirely different skillset.
