  1. This is a good point - I didn't have a car when I visited Charlotte last year (took the bus - and boy was that an experience...). All of the 'great' BBQ places were in the suburbs so completely inaccessible to me. I was very disappointed. As an outsider looking in (I've been to San Diego, LA, Santa Barbara, San Mateo, San Francisco, NY, Charleston, Savannah and Miami), Charlotte is a very beige city. It doesn't really have anything going for it, but it doesn't really have any massive downsides either - it just is.
  2. We have an identity we're a misery factory.
  3. They don't have the NFL playmakers on the outside / at RB anymore and it appears they've finally missed on a QB. Get stuffed, Dabo.
  4. Nice of the ACC officials to screw the Canes again. Didn't overrule the Chaney fumble against GT when it was clear. Didn't overrule the clear Safety against Clemson at halftime now. What a dogshit conference.
  5. I think we need to talk 2nd round defensive prospects - we can't keep neglecting that side of the ball.
  6. It took his GM acquiring 2 of the top 10 WRs in the NFL to make him into a 'good' QB. That's very difficult to do.
  7. The vertical passing game also requires an above average NFL arm, bro.
  8. I was angry with the trade at the time and turned off the Draft (something I never do) immediately after we made the pick as I was just deflated. I don't think any of the QBs in this Draft were good enough to trade FIVE premium players for - especially on a roster that needs all the help it can get. That's SO, so much to give up. The 49ers have lucked out that Mr Irrelevant is competent enough to step in and keep their offence ticking over, but that Lance trade had the capacity to absolutely sink them - sadly it didn't. We've not been so lucky.
  9. Never plan to pick here again, I believe was the comment.
  10. That's not the 15+ yard out we want to see. That's an over route with the CB in trail coverage - the WR has multiple steps on him. The 15+ yard out has to be thrown with enough velocity that the CB can't undercut it, cos he definitely has the angle to. I haven't seen that yet, nor do I expect to.
  11. At best you're looking at him developing into a competent NFL starting QB (a Jimmy G or a Tua), which isn't worth what we paid for him and just puts us in purgatory as a franchise.
  12. He's a rookie that we traded the farm for that was meant to be pro ready and elevate those around him with his 'point guard' play. That's what we were sold after the moronic trade.
  13. I mean just ask him, he'd probably do it for a nominal fee.
  14. More 'pro ready' but unable to make half the throws an NFL QB needs to make. He'd go third round if they did a re-Draft based on the first 6 weeks of play and that's only cos someone would think they can fix him.
  15. Ah, and so it begins. Next step is firing a position coach, then a co-ordinator. Reich is going to be one and done. Thanks god.
  16. They're both top 10 WRs in the NFL - frustratingly they're on the same bloody team. That (and a play calling genius) is what was required to turn Tua into a serviceable QB - it's not really the path I want to go down, there's too many moving parts to get there.
  17. If he needs that much space to throw a routine 45 yard pass then we're screwed.
  18. I mean we're 0-6, potentially heading to 0-17 with no QB and no first round pick next year. It's an F.
  19. He doesn't get double teamed (at least not to a noticeable degree, I'm sure some advanced stat somewhere will say he is). He occasionally gets chipped - but generally he's not given any special attention.
  20. We're that bad that we've made The Guardian, on a weekend where there was an NFL game in London: https://www.theguardian.com/sport/2023/oct/16/david-tepper-has-a-brilliant-financial-mind-running-the-panthers-though- Well played, Tepper. Well played.
  21. Nice idea, except the D needs a lot of investment too.
  22. His footwork is abysmal there - as I said, everything is an arm throw. His feet are pointing to the opposite bloody sideline ffs.
  23. Burns: 3.5 sacks, 15 pressures, 5 TFL, 4 run stuffs YGM: 2.5 sacks, 11 pressures, 3 TFL, 1 run stuffs. I find that pretty hilarious, I'm sorry you don't.
