  1. So with all that said your answer was both. Being a good leader is very important and hes also really good at scheming.
  2. Definitely, I really wish they would stop this Chinn as coverage safety experiment. He made a couple really good plays on the ball last game but most plays they were picking on him. Hes an ok player in coverage and a great one in the box, I have no idea what they're thinking besides the fact Wilks has always been the one adamant about him playing coverage safety.
  3. Panthers are notorious as a franchise for taking the safe route and never winning a superbowl. We take one risk on a coaching staff that goes badly and everyone instantly panics to go back to super safe route.
  4. I feel like you are clearly trying to push your opinion in your phrasing. Of course it depends on who the other coach is, for example I would definitely take Steichen over Wills and a select couple others, without a doubt. Is it a slightly more risky option? Definitely. Is there more potential to be a great team by taking the risk? Probably.
  5. Most likely the bengals game was thrown out almost entirely. Win probability doesnt start at 50% if a good team is going against a bad team and it doesnt count any plays after probability is 80% to lose or 20% to win or whatever so after we went down a td or so the rest of that game was probably thrown out entirely lol
  6. I think the Seahawks win was his first real signature win. Everything else was against fairly bad teams and we cant forget that bengals game. I think he definitely helped his chances with the seattle game, and I definitely think we could do worse. He has been pretty impressive as a leader. All that said I also think we could do better. I think he is a high floor low ceiling candidate. So a safe choice but I'm not sure hes a coach who could take us to a perinneal playoff team. I see him as a Rivera type coach. Definitely a big step up from the last one though.
  7. Watch DJ run routes when hes just going through the motions. That's why. The best wide receivers never do that.
  8. It's a risk, it always is to say sometimes it doesnt work out so you shouldnt do it though is silly. If you trust your scouts and GM then you always want to have more options of players to pick and the top ones are usually coming in with a couple elite traits. It's silly to say that because it doesnt always work out that you want less players available to pick from.
  9. College football has basically turned into professional sports but with no salary cap or luxury tax. It's going to kill college football in a few years if they dont change some rules to balance it out. I definitely think kids should get paid but they are going to have to change some things.
  10. Jackson has been a "good" qb in his years so far. Not great like a lot of people want to think by his highlight plays. If you just look at his statistics against good teams and in the playoffs; they are very bad. He has been a qb that feasts on bad teams mostly at this point in his career so far.
  11. I guess a better way for me to put it. If you look at our overall roster we have a lot of talent. We just have some clear holes om the roster. We have beat teams I would say we have more talent than and have lost to the teams that have more talent than us. I just think Rhule was so bad he made us look worse than we were.
  12. Hes beat the bad teams and got smoked by the good ones. I'm definitely not sold yet. It just shows that we have an overall solid roster and we had a terrible coach before.
  13. Terrible pi call. Lucky they got the pick so it didnt matter. They say you can put hand on hip just dont turn the receiver. Well the receiver never turned at all even on a pass thrown behind where his natural movement would have been to turn to the ball.
  14. Lol yea did you hear all those boos? I actually felt kind of bad.
  15. You've seen that injury just as much on grass when someone gets rolled up on from behind. All the studies have shown statistically there is basically no difference in the amount of injuries on turf vs grass. All that said I still prefer grass.
  16. His leg got fell on by a lineman from behind. I'm not sure that you can blame that one on turf.
  17. Sounds like a lot of excuses. I'm not saying those things arent true. I'm saying you're a professional and you need to be responsible for yourself. He hasnt played well this season.
  18. Sure. I just didnt know we were making broad generalizations from game to game. There have been games where the offense looked ok and the defense looked terrible as well.
  19. I'm not sure the defense is "snapping" they're middle of the pack to back of the pack in almost all statistical categories I think?
  20. I would like to have that gb first right about now.
  21. Both. You find the great head coach and then trust the coach and your gm/scouts to find a great qb for the system they want to run.
  22. These arguments that it's best not to get a good pick dont make much sense to me. That's why you have a GM and a scouting department. At the first pick you have the option of any player. Sure some drafts the best qb doesnt end up going first but that's on the team making the pick. It is 100% best to have your option of any player regardless of teams missing in the past.
  23. I agree whole heartedly. It never works in the playoffs and barely against the really good teams in general. Lamar Jackson is elite but his playoff numbers and statistics against upper third defenses are not good at all, but it gets on sports center for the flash.
  24. They fall in love with the big runs. Personally I would prefer my qb have more passing yards than rush yard but to each their own. That is a joke btw. I'm aware he has more passing yards today, barely.
