I think you are definitely looking at him overly negatively. Two of the catches he gave up off the top of my head he was in perfect position for and made a play to swat at the ball and the receivers just made a great play. Also the infamous PFF (I know I know) had him rated as the third highest graded player on the defense. Does that mean anything? I think it at least means he played decent. Especially for a 5th round rookie.

What pass cant he throw?

So far we are averaging a couple more points per game than last year and just slightly more passing yards per game than last season..

Or we dont have much confidence in the offensive line to block for the qb, or we dont have much confidence in the OC calling plays to get our WRs open, or we dont have much confidence in our WRs to catch the ball, or maybe they just think they need to focus on the run game a little more which it seems like they barely use sometimes. There are lots of ways that blame game could go.

I haven't seen many unnecessary rocket short passes. The one I would say maybe is the one to Hubbard near the end that he dropped. None of the rest would I say were thrown especially hard unnecessarily.

Chuba has shown to have terrible hands so far and thats not just because of yesterday. I feel like on the season he has had more drops than catches.

Considering the extra overtime possession the time of possession wasnt that skewed.

Also he's complaining about 5-10 yard rockets, I wonder if they were a fan of our previous franchise qb, I have a suspicion they might have been. Most of these weren't "rockets", and basically every one the receivers got both hands on. There is no excuse for those drops no matter how much it doesnt fit some people's narrative for easy fixes.

Yea there were so many times today that it looked like no one was open at all. No matter how much time Sam had.

So many posts just trying to find hope and an easy solution by finding one singular player to blame. Most of the team has been to blame during this current losing streak and I'm not sure I would put Darnold in the top 3 or 4.

I'm not sure what Cam you watched last year. Especially closer to the end of the season..

Also our wide receivers have no idea what to do when the qb scrambles. They either start jogging their route or stop and stand there.

Our wide receivers have been awful today. They have gotten totally locked up and when they do get the ball they drop it. That has been really disappointing.

DJ fumbled giving effort. Amderson has hung his qb out to dry on most of his ints by doing the exact opposite. That's not even factoring his drops
