It cuts both ways. Small sample size but then again this fanbase tried to convince themselves Rhule was still the right guy for the job too. And Matt Rhule actually had some varying level of success early on.

Average time to throw (Spoiler alert: Bryce is 2nd to last)

Probably need a "Positive thoughts on Bryce Young only" subforum. -

That's the point. Dalton is mediocre at best but that's how low the bar has been for passing after the first two weeks. We don't need our QB to be Cam Newton but we do need him to be above the likes of Teddy Bridgewater. If that's all we're getting we didn't need to trade up at all this year we could have saved those resources. -
People are going to have to accept we are not trading our way out of this mess. We've been trying that for 3 seasons now and we've only dug ourselves into a deeper hole.

Some folks don't want discussion but an echo chamber of blind praise. -
If you're pro Bryce becoming a franchise QB honestly you probably shouldn't even be welcoming a Fields comparison. The Panthers truthfully aren't much above the Bears as far as developing QB's goes if we're being unbiased. But regardless taking a risk on Fields with 1 pick is quite different from taking a risk with 2 firsts and a quality starter. That's the accelerator that changes the stakes. It isn't fair but we would be having the same level of heightened expectations for Stroud or Richardson. That's the weight of being first overall. Regardless it's looking more and more like the Reich hire was a dud so no one can say for sure how either of the top prospects would be looking here in place of Young. But all hypotheticals aside as of now in the social media age Bryce Young is several big steps behind his peers from the draft in the eyes of most fans. It's going to take some big time play to bridge the gap. Hopefully he's up to the task.

If Reich keeps his poo up just let Brown or Evero fully take the reigns. I'm over these stubborn dinosaurs. It is beyond pitiful we are reliving another Ron Rivera moment.
-
I'm not going to knock anyone for anything related to mental health. That's probably the least of my worries with Young. At least I hope. There was an odd amount of negative stuff thrown at CJ Stroud over petty things though which surprised me some people who were pro Young weren't bothered by it because it was similar to some of the things said about Cam.

You keep bringing this up like it's some kind of gotcha. I actually got banned over the CMC contract that so many people at the time rejoiced over but I knew it would bite us in the ass because we had no QB when we signed the deal. You're doing the same thing you did with Cam except he was a generational talent. Bryce has a lot to prove to a lot of people. I hope he does. That doesn't mean I can't admit Andy Dalton looked like an All-Pro by comparison.
-
I don't get it. If Bryce had done anything to justify this angry defense I could begin to rationalize it. But AB is defending this man like he's already prime Cam Newton. Get off his dick already.
-
Dalton actually showed some grit I was impressed given his age. I honestly thought he would be mediocre at best it's what I've come to expect. But these defend Bryce Young at all costs so let's trash Andy Dalton takes are....desperate. Maybe stop trying to coddle a 22 year old man and raise your expectations.
-
Funny looking back there were folks here who got all defensive and poo'd posts of anyone who thought maybe Nicole Tepper shouldn't be in the middle of the process in the lead up to draft and hugging a prospect when she and her husband have zero qualifications. Fug them and the Tepper's.

There is only one solution.

Every Panthers fan every season the last 5 years upon realizing it's yet again another wasted year of misery:
-
I feel ya but I got nowhere else to go. I'll still be here checking in on this shitshow.
-
Sadly getting to that point. Desperation is a hell of a thing.

Don't torture yourself reminiscing too much brother.

As pitiful as the staff is this is year 3 of Scott Fitterer's roster building and another comically bad oline. The man is garbage
-
And David Tepper with his brass balls is fuming somewhere. Hilarious.
-
We needed a full reset new young offensive coach (Steichen) and a new GM. The only reason Fitterer survived the mess he was part of with Rhule is because he's buddies with Tepper and will bend to his will. At the end of the day it's Tepper my guy. His fingerprints are all over everything. At least Jerry Richardson stepped back and let football people make the decisions. Tepper is an egomaniac. Why do you think him and Rhule got along so well so quickly?
-
If he needs a bit of seasoning then we might as well have stayed put and just drafted Will Levis if we are just going to throw away picks. You don't play these games at number one. You either take the best pure passer or you don't make the move.

Hey I'm trying to be a nice guy here lol

Can't coddle a first overall pick you mortgaged significant assets for because you're afraid he might get hurt or he might go into a shell. If he can't at least hang with the big boys now it was a waste of a trade.
