  1. Even if a QB shows a "clutch gene" in college it doesn't mean it will translate to the NFL. And some of the current most clutch QB's in the league weren't necessarily that in college. It's foolish to anoint either Stroud or Young before they have put on an NFL uniform. Both have significant talent and ability. But there's no guarantee all or any of it will translate. Who even knows which QB will be the best from this years class it may not even end up being one of them. When you go all in on one prospect and elevate your level of expectations to near walk on water levels you are going to get hit in the forehead by reality. I think we should temper those expectations in the coming months regardless. Let these kids grow and learn. We can't put the weight of the world on their shoulders from the jump. It's going to be a process. Just enjoy the journey.
  2. Mr. Scot just can't handle seeing any QB who isn't a milquetoast play football. He's Hank Hill IRL.
  3. You just did. You obviously are deep in your feelings about the reaction to his pro day. And when Young has a great pro day and the media pendulum swings back toward him you'll change your tune about this subject and be on cloud nine. I'll accept either QB. But you Young stans are absolutely insufferable and if he isn't the pick I do hope you pack your bags.
  4. So you crap on Stroud then proceed to cry about your favorite guy getting crapped on. Maybe you're really no different than they are bud.
  5. Sounds like when you're "in" Charlotte. Anyways it's plain as day our QB coach loves this kid. He isn't making the decision but obviously that will factor heavily into the final pick. Anyways I'm eager to see how Bryce Young does. Aside from all this arguing and speculation these are fun times.
  6. Some of these Young fans really have that Sam Darnold fan energy.
  7. Stroud has the bigger frame and he can bulk a little more even if need be. We don't have to agree it's cool man. The extreme pro Young folks here act like his parents about his one big concern. I don't get it but that's okay to each his own
  8. I'll accept either but let's be real he's like 195.
  9. Find yourself someone who looks at you the way Josh McCown does CJ Stroud.
  10. I think you should put the reverse jinx on and bang the table for Young so that way we will for sure draft Stroud.
  11. For the love of... Michael Jordan comp and a Steph Curry comp within one post!? Not even the pro Stroud or AR supporters are going this far.
  12. Good stuff. Stroud/Young or Richardson I'll accept and hope for the future with any of those QB's as the pick.
  13. Well at least he isn't Drew Brees. All you guys that have been spamming his name the last few weeks to boost the case for your favorite prospect should be ashamed of yourselves.
  14. Kind of you to sacrifice yourself to unite the two separate camps here.
  15. I mean I can appreciate the effort but what we are even doing here taking out a key aspect of the evaluation process and ultimately the final decision? If you're taking size out of the equation for one prospect why stop there why not take something out to favor others as well? With that logic we could possibly talk ourselves into Richardson and maybe even Levis. Let's just agree we all wish it were late April already.
  16. I just don't think it's that serious. He's not going to be a starter again. Might as well let the man have a little fun with it. I actually feel kind of bad for him it's gotta be a tough situation. But I'm glad his brother is offering support that's what family is supposed to do.
  17. They both have a point. Hopefully Cam finds a team willing to give him a chance. But if not hopefully he finds some inner peace and moves onto the next phase of his life. He has nothing to be ashamed of either way.
  18. I don't want you to take this the wrong way. But you're kinda getting into Rippadon's "golden Corral let's eat" territory with this gag.
  19. Oh the Texans are definitely playing the game too. As someone else pointed out the timing of our trade after the combine is difficult to ignore. Can't say one way or another but I'm sure they are eager to see the pro days and get the interview process going. Until then I will regard most of this talk of one prospect a near certainty as just noise. Fitterer already told us in the interview they are just now diving into everything. Things can change within the next 3 weeks.
  20. Couldn't that apply to us as well? Nothing we are saying in front of the cameras is accidental or coincidence.
