Luke Kuechly in Buffalo Bills gear
Panthers Rhule replied to Carl Spackler's topic in Carolina Panthers
He played in Carolina but he has very few personal connections to the new organization beyond what he experienced with his short time with us post retirement. Buffalo has a lot of old regime connections. In fact, it's mostly for this reason that they have become my AFC team to pull for. I wouldn't blame him if he decided to start working with them at some point. -
I literally just read this article about 10 minutes ago. Forget Beating Covid-19. Europe Is Preparing to Live With It. (msn.com) The EU has never lifted mask mandates for indoor activities only outdoor activities in small numbers. The vaccination rate is higher even though they received the vaccines much later and their resistance to them is much less with the bulk of the population only recently having access to them. A few EU countries are even predicting near 80% vaccination by early September. The death rate for the Delta Variant is half that of the US and with vaccinations happening daily, the number of new cases has dropped significantly since a peak in July. It has nothing to do with politics. Even in the US. The most vaccine hesitant demographics in the US are actually Blacks and Hispanics which are mostly Democrats. Among whites, Republicans are more resistant but they are not alone. The Virus is a reality. It kills people and will continue to do so. The vaccination greatly reduces the risks of not only death but hospitalization. It may not be 100% but it's close and it's the best we have at the moment. My entire family is vaccinated minus my youngest who will be in January when she turns 12. Vaccines are literally saving people lives. Everyone, please strongly consider getting vaccinated so that everyone can live long enough to hold the people who unleashed this upon us accountable and brought to justice for what they have done.

I never said he couldn't learn to throw. Although I'm happy you admit that he does. I just said that he needs to learn how to throw or the Ravens should move on. You seem to lose focus and let your anger override the discussion. You never said what my transparency was by the way. Care to put it into words now or do you prefer to claim victory over something i fail to understand. You do realize that when you posted Jackson's run stats that you proved he's a running QB. Do you not?
-
YOu gave me the facts bro, Jackson: 10.5 Thanks for making my point. Good job.
-
-
Transparent how? What do you want to really say? Because gimmicks only go so far. If you have a SB team and the only thing holding you back is your offense? The Ravens know they will never win a SB unless they can throw the ball better than they have. They can move on or always be what they've been the last few seasons. They will never win a SB unless Jackson learns how to throw. Facts bro facts.
-
You just posted the stats, not me. You just demonstrated that he's a running QB. I'm just laughing at you bro. YOu posted stats and call me an idiot. You high?
-
Are you really going to use rushing stats to claim if a QB is a rushing QB or not?. Even by this logic your boy Jackson is averaging almost 3 yards more than Cam. You're actually proving my point for me even if I don't agree with those stats being the major factor but if you want to use them then thank you. Obviously I'm right by these stats. Jackson is a running QB. Thanks for proving my point. Good job. Lamar Jackson: 10.5 Hahaha. You don't understand how this works do you?
-
His receivers have a high drop rate because his passes are bad. Good receivers don't want to play there. The Ravens had to create a new offense specifically for him because he couldn't run a normal offense. Are you saying that the Ravens are running a typical NFL offense with Jackson at QB??? That's why I call it a gimmick offense.
-
Not really, NO, Yes, No Do I have to do the hokey pokey and turn it all about now?
-
In the beginning yes, at the end no. Are you honestly comparing Jackson to Vick though?
-
Yes. Better runner than passer. Te capì?
-
Something a little deeper at play? Are we speaking in code now? Before I consider reconciliation I'd like to know what exactly I'm supposed to reconcile. If you have something to say just say it. Don't hide behind innuendos. I didn't attack you personally but just gave my football opinion but you seem to be hinting at something more personal. If you've got something to say just say it. Don't hide behind pretty words. What are you trying to say exactly.

We obviously have different dictionaries. But if you want to call a moth a butterfly well that's your right. I do realize that definitions are very fluid these days. But in my world, a running QB runs first and throws second. If you prefer a different definition then I can't really argue against that. But id Allen is a running Qb then what is Jackson? Surely you're not suggesting they are the same style? Maybe I'm watching different tape so please share so that we all can see the similarities.
-
I'm not ragging on Lamar. I'm just calling it as I see it. I personally wouldn't want a gimmick QB running a gimmick offense to lead my team. I would like to have a chance to win it all and that style of offense has never won it all. The closest it ever came was with us when Cam actually threw the ball pretty well. That one, magical season. But overall? Cam was average most of his career because he couldn't pass that well. Take away the run and we were in trouble. Facts bro facts. I danced for joy the day we let Cam go. I danced again the day we passed on Fields. That's how I feel and if you don't like it then that's your problem not mine. Go root for another team. I'm happy with my team and where it's going.

Yeah, 2nd. And in the playoffs? Stuffed. Couldn't pass the ball. If they can get past that default in their offense then he will stay but if not.........? How many season are they gonna repeat the same issue. This is his contract season. Either he proves he can take it to the next level or they should let him walk and I believe that's exactly what they'll do. Why pay a QB that can't pass 45 mil a season? The NFL doesn't judge you on coming in second for MVP. The Ravens are a SB level team but can't get there and the main reason is that they cannot throw the ball consistently. The truth may hurt but it's still true. There is no way a running QB was the 2nd best QB in the league last season nor any other season. QBs throw the ball. That's their job. This isn't college. Mobile QBs are different. They are passers who can extend plays. That's a commodity. Runners who can kind of pass are too limited against a good defense. A good defense will run blitz the Ravens and it's over. We saw that last season against the Bills who have a mobile QB who can throw well.
-
Mobile QBs are definitely the new thing. Running QBs are failing. The best running QB is Lamar and IMO if he doesn't learn how to pass better he will not be a Raven next season. His experiment is in it's last season I believe. They remodeled their offense specifically for him and did a great job. That's a great staff in Baltimore but either they prove that a super college offense can win a super bowl or they will let him go before the big contract. I don't expect them to over pay a gimmick QB.

I see what you did there......and I like it.
-
I see it the other way around. Most QBs these days are duel threat. I see it more as whenever someone doesn't think a QB is actually that good of a QB the people who like that QB look for obscure reasons to justify why another person doesn't agree with their opinion. It's like they are so sure that QB is so great that there's no honest reason why someone would say that they're not. Maybe Fields will be great. He has a lot of great characteristics but he has a lot of flaws in his game too which is why he fell on draft day. Nothing in that hype video showed anything new about his game yet so the doubt for many of us is still there. No second read and he still has that slow delivery. Those are his two biggest criticisms and they appear to still be there.
-
Yeah that's nice. The problem is that every one of those throws but 1 was to his first read. Take away that and he's looking to run the ball. Even the one play where he hit the check down he was about to run and saw him last second. He does have a nice deep pass though but until he learns how to hit his 2nd and 3rd targets consistently, he will have problems. That's why so many teams passed on him. Including us.
-
I've visited a Bears fan site to check up on the Fields' situation. The organization is definitely hyping him up and that's to be expected since they traded up for him and the last QB they traded up for didn't work out too well for them. As I read through posts though some obvious things begin to stick out and some of their fans are pointing this out too. He's being hyped up but without a lot of details about what is so great. They mention work ethic a lot, running skills and strong arm. Not a lot about actual great plays. As I kept reading through posts other things which tell a much different story than what the hype would have you to believe. Dalton is the number one hands down. At this time, Fields isn't considered a threat to take his spot any time soon. He makes an occasional great pass followed by a lot of bad passes, incompletions and interceptions including pick sixes. Drives stalled by sacks after holding the ball too long. He threw an interception on a shuttle pass. From what I've read and some fans are pointing out that it's a lot of hype but his actual play isn't that good yet. Here's just one example from a practice this week. Don't expect to see Fields starting any time soon unless something happens to Dalton. Andy Dalton is firmly ahead of Fields on the depth chart.

Sax Takes: Panthers 2021, a Cornish Jam
Panthers Rhule replied to saX man's topic in Carolina Panthers
Is it just me or does Arnold look a little like Sawyer from Lost? Nice write up dude! I agree with your takes. They seem pretty fair to me. I'm also expecting Chubba to give CMC some good solid relief this season which I believe will also help us a lot down the stretch. -
The 2021 Carolina Panthers Fan Fest Thread
Panthers Rhule replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
Yes, I am. Thank you. I apologize for quoting you specifically for my rant. It was over the top. I respect you as a fan and I like your posts and opinions. It's just that these days it's hard to enjoy normal life things and today was a good day and it irritated me that people complained about it. I'm sorry bro. I was wrong to respond so harshly. It's just difficult to do normal fun things with the family these days and I want to just enjoy these things as they are. But you're right, my response was too hard. My bad bro. Please, excuse me. I shouldn't have responded like that.- 151 replies
