  1. It's not "data-driven analysis." Nerds want to believe it because they like the idea of playing sports on spreadsheets, but it isn't analysis of data. All it is is a bunch of keyboard warriors who never played football giving "grades" to football players without knowing the play call or the player responsibilities. PFF has valuable tracking stats. These grades are worthless.
  2. Just because it exists does not make it good or valuable. It is the grading opinion of a bunch of dudes who never played football, and nothing more.
  3. people should also consider that PFF grades are trash
  4. Rather poor. Hilarious how butthurt people still are about passing on mediocre QB prospects. Time to get over it, snowflakes.
  5. Eagles, Lions, and Texans will all be putrid. Jets could improve and still be really bad in the W-L column. Bengals could be really bad too if Burrow is not fully back from the knee.
  6. Five-way tie for the worst record in the league at 5-12? When's the last time the worst team in the league won 5 games? Shows how goofy this nerd poo is that ESPN and others are obsessed with these days.
  7. Every time? Like in the instance that he never plays meaningful snaps in the NFL? Give me a break.
  8. You'll never understand why Carolina (and everyone else) passed on a guy with a serious bloodclotting issue in his not-distant medical history?
  9. Corey Miller is a self-absorbed douchebag and loser. No one should care what he has to say.
  10. Carolina can definitely do better, but if the best you can do is Garrett Gilbert or someone of similar skill level -- is it really worth it to sign a guy that is at a significant disadvantage at QB because he has to come in and learn your system during the season rather than just rolling with Walker for another year?
  11. Why are people so convinced we are going to add a QB? Who is going to be an obvious upgrade over Walker? If you bring someone else in, they are starting from scratch with the system, and there is not a massive talent upgrade to be had other than Cam Newton, who will for obvious reasons not be coming to Carolina.
  12. Need to be working out guys constantly the next two weeks. No reason to piss away a 7th on this Santoso guy when there are other comparable/better options out there.
  13. "Prior to today" is the operative portion of that post. Who cares. Mostly a bunch of guys who are going to get cut. Everyone has 30 camp fodder players that have little to no shot of making the roster every off-season. And Haason Reddick and Robby Anderson at the least would make 32/32 teams in the league. Mostly just a bunch of crying losers that want to complain about something.
  14. Pretty obvious they are looking for a trade taker on Thomas, Jansen, and one of the safeties.
  15. Smith misses the entire year if he goes on IR now. Doubt it. Maybe Bonnafon. Think you are looking at trades at TE, S, and LS. Will have to dump Roy or Hoskins too, I think.
  16. This guy is wrong. Pretty sure they cannot put him on the practice squad if he's waived with an injury designation. Either another team claims him, or he reverts to the Lions' IR for the year. If he goes on IR, I imagine they would cut him with an injury settlement once he's healthy. No reason to keep a guy on an expiring contract that they don't want on IR for the year.
  17. Only thing I can dig up is a hamstring issue from early August.
  18. Wow. Crosby would be an excellent pick-up once/if he gets healthy.
  19. Assuming he's serviceable but nothing more, can we extend him for 12-15% of the salary cap like KC did? If so, then it's a big win. But if his deal is for more than $22-25M per, he ain't worth it.
  20. Bring him on down. I love it. Winning is all that matters. They don't hand out moral awards. Watson is an infinitely superior option over Darnold.
  21. It was 100-1 if you were paying attention a couple of months earlier. Must have taken some big bets on it already.
  22. We get it. 32 teams knew Trey Smith had more talent than where he was drafted. There are a lot of health problems. I don't wish ill on the kid, hope he has an All-Pro career, but when/if he plays 10 games over three seasons, will all of you shut up about him?
  23. Why does a "press release" matter? The salary cap data is all that matters, and we don't have it yet. Which is why you look like a fool (again) for insisting that the $4M must be counted in this year's cap without knowing the structure of the deal. The only thing we know is the remaining actual obligation over the next three years, which is $37M. This makes no sense. Like I said before, you are not as smart as you think you are. Anyone who has to tell everyone they're smart, probably isn't very smart. You fit that to a tee.
  24. Because that's exactly how the salary cap works. It's an already-accrued obligation that was paid last year. The paper obligation for purposes of the cap can be changed in a variety of ways. Teams do it multiple times every off-season. The 3 years/$37M is not BS. That is the literal structure of this deal. You are not nearly as smart as you apparently think you are.
