This thread screams, “im okay with mediocre.” It is possible you know to have a good offense and defense. We have been to the super bowl twice and playoffs 8 times. We aren’t trash. Our defense also isn’t that good, our defense from 2013-2017 would wipe their ass with them. We are just good on the edges and don’t have Troy Pride in man coverage anymore. In case you haven’t noticed our defense chokes. This team is dysfunctional. Be the fugging Carolina Panthers and hire an asshole defensive coordinator for a HC role, bring in some guys that understand the NFL, get some real line backers in here and not these bean stalks we have, get aggressive, run the ball down peoples throats, and take all these analytics and shove them right up David Tepper’s ass. I’m telling you guys, IF he does leave it’ll be for ND. He knows he won’t make it in the SEC. Plus the whole atmosphere fits Rhule. He would go there.

Was looking at the betting odds of Rhule taking the ND job, what’s this about tension with the front office?

Watson isn’t going to help anything if we can afford to put an OL in front of him. I like the idea of putting Cam on a 2 yr deal and drafting Kenny Pickett. Smooth transition and still have money to put a OL out there

You also got to remember that if we cut Elf and Erving that frees up some money. Also offloading McCaffrey or Anderson would give us more money if we can find somebody to take the contract. May have to take less in the trade though. The cap increase is expected to sky rocket from the new TV deal and the recoup from the covid market last year. Good chance we have somewhere around 55 million or so and if we are lucky a couple extra picks from cutting dead weight.

Brady would be named interim HC most likely and once he goes 1-4ish he gets a HC job in college and Tepper gets an excuse not to retain him. Hopefully Eberflus can get the stench out of their offices.
